Once upon a time I worked in the Editorial Dept. of a major textbook publisher. Then I got pregnant for the third time and decided I would be insane not to quit to be a stay-at-home mom. Which is still my profession, and which I think I might finally be getting the hang of, lol!

Oh yeah, and my name is really Jan. I just go by "Magpie" because I like to chat a lot, and I'm attracted to bright colorful objects. You know . . . like scrap supplies!

I have a very special photo or quote that really speaks to me. That's when I want to sit down and make a great layout.

Digi: Christina Renee Designs, Tracy Ann Digital Art, Jofia Devoe--but I keep finding more great digi designers all the time!
my favorite color is...
Apple green. Dark lavender. The truth is I love lots of color, even though I tend to make simple, more classic layouts.
I scrapbook because...
I want my family to remember our time together. And I want them to know how much they are loved.
the best song in the world is...
Honestly? "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." I could listen to that all day.
my favorite movie quote is...
"Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"
I almost couldn't live without...
Graeter's chocolate chip ice cream, Esther Price candy, Marion's Pizza. No wait--I could live without all those things, but I don't think I could live without Dennis and the kids.
