"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond imagination. It is our light more than our darkness which scares us. We ask ourselves – who are we to be brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous. But honestly, who are you to not be so?"

- Marianne Williamson in Return to Love: Reflections on a Course in Miracles

We are thinking along the same lines! I just watched Coach Carter the other day and this quote is in the movie. It is also in Akeela and the bee (great movie)! It is also said that Nelson Mandela used it in a speech of his. I then looked it up on the net and planned to do a page with that as my inspiration. There is more after what you wrote. Here is the rest:

"You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Oooohhh--coincidence! I did a fairly simple layout last year for my goddaughter using that quote. I framed it and she is getting it for her b'day in a couple of weeks.
