my mom has one of these!!!!
she's really into vintage and antiques and she got hers a long time ago.
she has it hanging in a hallway, but vertically.
she's got old press letters and random antique stuff in hers.
ali made hers so cute with all the photos!!!

Someone is giving one away on craigslist here now. I had one but I think I sold it at a garage sale. Should have kept it!

i've got lots of those trays.
you can find them for pretty cheap too.
mine holds letter press and vintage buttons.

I have 2 printers trays that are filled with little things that I collect as I travel around the country and beyond! Fun!
Never saw one done with photos, though. Cool.

saw this in the last book and fell in love with it
even bought an old printers tray to do this myself sometime
funny since my mom has so many of the bloody things with all kinds of knick knacks in them!
the one i have is kinda beat up (which i actually dig) so i'll wait until just the right products and ideas hit to keep up the feeling

Hey, this is an amazing idea.
I have a printer's tray which has held all sorts of little thingies but nothing I've used it for has looked as COOL as this......
I dated a guy years ago who was an antique addict.
He got me thinking of "old stuff" in different ways.
A lot of people would see stuff like printers trays or record album cabinets, etc as "junk" but I think they are treasures.
I do believe that when I get home tonight me and that printers tray are going to have to spend some time together.....

i LOVE those, i wish i could ever find one, with all the antique and op shops i go to each week ive NEVER seen one, or any letter press blocks,
and elly, i have been looking for a old wooden library card catalog holder for...forEVER, so id give both my arms for one of those as well.

antiques have so much more character, 95% of my house is oooold queen anne, and retro 60s furniture, screw new stuff, i love stuff with a bit of history :D

I have an old printers's drawer that we used to keep wee mementos from trips in. I haven't put it back up since we moved. I need to do that, I loved it.
Love the pic idea, that is great.

Yeah - Sometimes I wonder why some stuff is so darn expensive when it's not even that nice and it is a copy of something old but the old was made so much better......
When I went to my first antique auction I was totally shocked.
I couldn't believe what amazing things were being sold for great prices.
Okay - The place was off the beaten path and the same stuff would fetch a very pretty penny in my area of New York but darn it I was all ready to re-furnish my house with antiques.
Luckily we only had a GMC Jimmy but I did bring home an antique curio cabinet.
I really, really wish I knew of some good (aka - CHEAP) auctions around here......
