I LOVE "Sense and Sensibility"...!!!
me tooo!
of course, everybody loves Amelie. Although it's great the movie was so successful, I sometimes wish it had stayed the "special" film it was, playing in tiny movie theatres... it so seems like a blockbuster nowadays.
Anyways... I also really love "Stranger Than Fiction", "Big Fish" and "Garden State"

visual movies...
I love all of the patterns in Lucky Number Slevin. The Darjeeling Limited is also an eyeful of patterns.
As far as the rest go, I really like just comedies... romantic ones, silly ones (think Harold & Kumar), just ones that make me laugh out loud.

Elizabethtown for me too. That scrapbook was amazing (though no way could that have been put together in one night lol). How amazing would it be to produce something like that with all the cds and journalling and everything?!

I love a lot of the ones already mentioned. I also love Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. The conversations those two have in those movies are very thought provoking. And the locations were gorgeous! And I just love a good love story. Oooh and another one is The Science of Sleep! Love all the crafty things they make in that movie!

I'm gonna have to say the latest adaptation of Jane Austen's "Persuasion." It's such a gorgeous movie with an excellent love story of course.

I think I am going to have to say Tuck Everlasting. I think it's a great drifter movie one that takes you out of reality but is still a little lite hearted!

I love the 80's classics... Pretty In Pink Breakfast Club FootLoose Can't Buy Me Love 16 Candles... you gotta add Ferris Buellers Day Off & The Lost Boys & St Elmo's Fire to that list baby!
I cannot list just one. My faves include but are not limited to the following - and they all are inspiring to me in their own way - some because of the music, others because of the sweet or clever or horrifying story they tell, others becuase of the visual goodness, others because they just make me laugh and laughing is great! And as I have never listed my faves before, I am going to do it right now! In no particular order:
To Catch A Theif Madagasgar My Fair Lady The Bourne trilogy Never Been Kissed Bridget Jones Diary Amelie Bend it like Beckham Children of Men The Last King of Scotland O Brother where art thou The Sweetest Thing Almost Famous Ever After The Castle (aussie) The Family Stone Hairspray Viva Las Vegas (go elvis) Muriels Wedding (another aussie flick) Oceans 11/12/13 Transformers Shrek 1/2/3 Pursuit of Happyness Goodnight & Good Luck Mary Poppins Four Weddings & a Funeral Home Alone (only 1 & 2 though) Blue Crush Big Trouble in Little China The Royal Tenenbaums Chicago Lost in Translation Pride & Prejudice (keira knightly) A Midsummer Nights Dream (calista flockhart) Roman Holiday Good Morning Vietnam Overboard (goldie hawn) Legally Blonde (the first one).
