Do you have a movie that inspires you? Maybe one that you watch when you are in a funk? Or one that is playing in the background as you scrap? Perhaps one that you find visually stimulating, or makes you want to go out and try something new?

Mine is Crazy Sexy Cancer. I know, it is kinda weird, but I love the film. Although it is essentially about Kris Carr's battle with cancer to me it is her journey to find herself and life in general that I find so inspiring. The way the film is shot, the music, and even the crazy doodling/scrapbook effect thing that is done throughout the movie, I just love it!

What's yours?

"My Big, Fat Greek Wedding" inspires me because like Toula, I found myself 30+ years old, single, not exactly a supermodel (haha), and wanting to do more than just work at a job...
After watching her transformation throughout the movie, it made me realize that even though she was a fictional character, Toula wasn't doing anything I couldn't do in real life! What if I didn't give up and settle? Instead, set goals and take action to improve my life?

Well so far, like Toula, I've returned to school and am looking forward to it leading me into a career that I have a passion for. Then I hope to afford a bit of a makeover after school is paid for. And while it's not a priority right now, it would be just delightful to meet a guy like "Ian" one day because John Corbett is sooo my type :)

Mr Hollands Opus .... I cry every time! It gets to me, growing up I LOVED music and still to this day can not read music very well at all but can play the Piano, I had many a teacher tell me to give up and try another subject, but like the movie I had a teacher just like Mr Holland, who perservered with me and got me through all my exams and tests without being able to read it like the rest of the class did. It was a movie very close to my heart growing up and I still to this day love it very much.

Sniff sniff :)
