Oooh I forgot Stripes was by him too. One of Andrew's favorites. Andrew loves the No David book - especially the part where he's running down the street naked! The illustrations are great - check him out!

Shel is another of my faves, as is Where the wild things are (sendak is great!) and In the Night Kitchen is a great book too! OKay 3 more-lol-Corduroy, as in A Pocket For (love it & just bought it) The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton (another one I just bought) was one I loved as a kid, and, this is a great one esp for Christmas time, AND, to top it off my mom still had it, so now I have it, yay! just picked up a Charlie and Lola book this weekend, LOVE IT...it is going on the "ask mommy to read with you shelf" along with the Oliver Jeffers books. Also picked up a Madeline book at the thrift store as well as an old National Geographic childrens book (my son loves it-best $0.50 I have ever spent). Another find is a book called "ABC of Canada" by Per-Henrik Gurth and Kim Bellefontaine. Merrik loves the illustrations.

I've always love the books by Eric Carle. His illustrations are made by collage. I used to be a pre-school teacher with the 4/5 year olds and we used to do lots of art work in his style. Lots of fun!
