Well I am certainly not the 1st to cut a 12x12 piece of pattern paper in half and scrap it. But I find this to actually be my FAVORITE size. It all started when I wanted to create an album celebrating the 29 days leading up to my 29th birthday [needless to say I was FREAKED OUT by that b-day] any way OFF topic, sorry. I was faced the the dilema of how to store them. I knew they made some 6x12 albums but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my American Crafts Modern 12x12 album. So that I can easily incorporate my 6x12 layouts right into my album with my 12x12 and 8.5X11 layouts this is what I did . . . 1. Mark a heavy piece of chipboard/cardboard on the 6 inch mark. [you can also just use a self healing mat - but mine is WAY to big] Lay your 12x12 page protector onto the mat or board and with an xacto and ruler cut an incision into your page protector. NOTE: do not cut protector in half completely, make sure you start and stop just on the inside edges of your pg protector.
 2. Choose some embroidery thread - I usually choose a color that will compliment the layouts that will be put in that page protector. Black is always a good color to use! I use at least 24 inches of thread. You don't want to come up short in the middle of sewing your page protector! Thread your needle and knot the end of your thread.
 3. Next sew the page protector to create two seperate pockets. You will be sewing the bottom of the top portion shut. I hand sew everything for the very simple reason - I don't own a sewing machine. You could try and sew your page protector shut! - Let us know how that works if you try it. Sew completly across the page protector in a straight line. Then knot thread and trim.

This will give you two seperate pockets which FOUR 6x12 layouts can be stored!!!
Part Two - Second thread . . .

I was just about to post a question about 6x12 layouts - and here is this great tutorial! I was going to specifically ask how to store these layouts. Thanks sooooo much, Courtney. This is just what I needed ;)

Aww Courtney! Thanks for sharing this! I've been wanting to scrap 6x12 for so long, but that was the HUGE dilemma for me -- how to store them? Now I know! You rock, girl!
