Ok, so far I've only done 1. But my friend hasn't yet and she's wanting to try. So how do you "put" your 6x12 together & how do you store it if you don't have the album:) TIA

there was a toturial on the boards a few months back that demonstrated how to use a needle and thread to stitch a 12x12 page protector down the middle to create 2 6x12 pockets... i have made a bunch of them!! you have to cut your papaer slightly smaller than 6x12 for them to fit comfortably in the page protector, though.

Ohhh Elise that is too cool! Thanks for that link. Right now the few I have done are A) in a pile like Deanna's or B) just stuck in a 12x12 page protector, kind of flopping around.

I only made a few so far and I stored them in original 12x12 page protectors to... with 3 staples in the middle. :p

I bought an album, but I still prefer the handmade ones. I think that the unusual size lends itself well to the funkiness of the handmade books and altered page protectors for 12x12. I have one using corrugated cardboard, let me see if I can get a pic of it!

I love the 6x12 lo's! I did a couple for the last Cj I was involved in........LOVED them!

One I did was vertical and one was horizontal. The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Do you have a bind it all? or you can use a rubber band and stretch each end through a hole and secure it with a pencil or a some other object by sliding it through each loop pulled up through the holes.

I really like this idea of sewing your 12x12 protectors to 6x12, much better than just cutting a full 12x12 to a 6x12. Although I have yet to try this size. Not sure I can do the 6x12. Maybe the 12x6?? Anyone done that yet?

I made 6x12 page-protectors from 12x12 ones. I just sew in the middle of the page-protector, and cut it with an inch extra where I made new holes.
Then I made an album from some cardboard, just cut out pieces a bit bigger than 6x12 - really really simple ;)
And put some paint and thickers on it.

I didn't even know 6x12 was a 'common' size until I joined SIS! Must have my head in the sand here. too funny.

ali edwards does this alot.
she sews her page protectors and will put 6x12 in a 12x12 album. most of the pages are 12x12 but she throws in some 6x12's and other odd sizes too.

Oh, man, that is super-cool and creative! Love it, love the idea of sewing the 12x12 page protectors...

I recently noticed PageMaps had some 6x12 designs and I want to play!

I put two 6x12s together in a 12x12 page protector, maybe that defeats the purpose, but I do so few of them it seems pointless to me to get a whole album for them. Plus I have a 12x12 AC album, and I place all sizes in that...so cool and handy keeping all my LOs in one album:)
