I feel like a dork asking this...roflol.d But you guys know more than the lss people...half the time they don't even know what I'm talking about until months later...ummmm...what!!?? Okay, whole 'nother post...I digress.
I'm on my way to buy some flocking (my lss finally got some!) and I'm not sure what would be the best (if there is such a thing) glue to use.
This is what I have: Kaiser Glue, MS glittering glue, Aileen's clear gel tacky glue, Tombo glue stick, Mod Podge and Elmer's <<< don't ask k? LOL! I also have the tape runner thingies...but I need options lots of options!
Do I need something else or will one (or more) of these work, please?
TIA

I haven't used flock but my crop partner Diane (Dsquare35) was playing around with it. She tried a couple different glues with it. I am not sure which one actually worked the best after it dried but you might pm her and ask her.
Have you tried Redline tape? It is the best stuff in the world and I have a feeling it would rock with flock! (do you like my rhyme? ) LOL!

I can't rave enough about MS tissue tape, you can tear it, cut it and it works great with glitter so I am assuming the same holds true for flock

Whoo hoo, got me some flock!! I'll be playing with it in a litte while...
I do have redline and it does work well. I want to freehand somethings so I was wondering about a glue I could "draw" with it if you will...LOL!
Hmmm...I'll have to try this MS tissue tape, might work for something else I was thinking of trying!
Thanks everybody!!

not sure of the loose flock, never have been able to locate that locally (I'm internet shopping-challenged) and all I've ever used is the flocking sheets like rubons but flocking they come with their own adhesive but I pulled out my zig glue pen and let it get just a little dry (not as milky as when it first comes out. It worked like a charm - so I think that it would work well for writing and flocking. Let us know how it turns out.

I bought some flock a while back bcuz I love the look of it but I have yet to use it because I too was contemplating the glue issue. You may now be flock go to girl after you experiment. Please keep us posted.

Can you just run it thru a Xyron, I use the small X one, and the next size blue one 500 with the crank. I use it for everything.

If you're doing it on small areas the Quickie Glue Pen works wicked good if you could get your hands on one. I'm not sure for larger areas though, like larger than 1" square.

i just got some of this a few days ago...i tried using a glue pad with stamps, but most of the flock rubbed off. i found a glue pen worked best.

My fave is heat and stick powder... it works like embossing powder sort of.... you heat it to make it sticky. It's awesome! I like to stamp and image with watermark ink, use the H&S powder... heat... flock and let set. Or its cool to just use a sticky tape like sticky strip or terrifically tacky tape for a flocked border.
The glue pads are not very effective with flock in my opinion.

I third the quickie glue pen! I love mine! Now I'm gonna have to investigate the MS tissue tape. Is it double sided?

I use zots with my flocked paper. it's not perfect but if you put the page in a book relatively soon it'll all stay.

I use Crystal Laquer... works beautifully, doesn't rub off, but takes a while to dry.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I've tried flock, but I'm having a hard time finding the right glue. Either the flock clumps up, or it's such a thin coating that it hardly show up at all. I haven't tried my Zig or Quickie glue pen, or Mod Podge. I used the horrible glue that came with the Around the Block kit, and it was like using Elmer's glue. And I DO remember using the Heat & Stick powder a long time ago with Fun Flock. I had forgotten. :)
