I have been using adhesive runners for quite a while. I like them, but am getting aggravated b/c the runners tend to break, and I pretty much have to throw it away after that.
What are some suggestions for good adhesives to use?

I know a lot of people use the ATC gun. I am a left and cannot use it. The ATC is the only thing I know of other than the runners or double sided tape.
I will watch this thread though because I am curious about what others have to say.

So lefties can't use the ATG gun?? I guess that's good to know before I go and get one.....

once you've tried an ATG, you'll never go back to tape runners. I do keep a couple around for small jobs, but lately I haven't been using these at all......and I also get mad when the tape breaks. I'm not a leftie, but I would think it would work for you!! The ATG is a great investment and the tape lasts a long, long time!!

Actually, it doesn't. I mean it works, as in the gun works, but you can't see around the gun when you hold it in your left hand. I need to see where I am putting my adhesive!!! LOL! :)

I love Zip Dry Glue. I use it for everything. It doesn't wrinkle paper, it dries super fast. I Love it.

I love Zip Dry Glue. I use it for everything. It doesn't wrinkle paper, it dries super fast. I Love it.
I just got some of this and must say that it is pretty good! Plus if you use it in a non-ventilated room, you'll leave that room a little happier! I do find that sometimes things un-stick quite easily, might be that I am not putting on enough glue.

I love my ATG... but I also LOVE scotch Quick Dry liquid... it drys quick, holds GREAT... doesn't make paper buckle or pucker... and it's cheap!

I have the ATG and I'm left-handed and it took some getting use to but it's the only thing I use now. At first it was awkward but I seem to be able to use it fine now.

Wow - I've been in the dark! I've seen them once or twice but thought how on earth would you ever be accurate with it? Maybe I'll have to look into it more.
I'm a scotch brand double sided tape girl - always have been! :)

My favourite adhesive runners are 3L Scrapbooking Adhesive E-Z Runner and the snail by Stampin'Up. I've never had a problem with the snail and I've be using 3L for nearly 4 years...and only had a problem once which I am pretty sure I did something weird...and I was still able to use the rest of the roll.
I've never tried the ATG....still addicted to the little runners I guess?! lol
I've wondered what other people use too.

im getting an ATG but not sure which one...should i order the red or yellow? the difference is...?

and I like yellow ATG, but I hear the red one is 1/4 inch.

It depends on what I am doing. I would say try anything once you'll find what you like> My best friend and I scrap together and what I use isn't always what she would use.

I used to use nothing but the tape runner from CM, I tried someone's ATG at a swap and was hooked. Like someone else said, I keep a tape runner handy for smaller jobs, but it is ATG all the way.

I have the ATG 1/4" gun and I love it, will not use any other adhesive runner. I also use the Zip dry glue mostly for ribbons and embellishments, it works great.

i buy the Ad tech tape runners from wal-mart, they never break on me like some other ones i've used.
.......and the refills are c.h.e.a.p.

Thanks, Stacey! I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I tried it years ago in a class and found it very clumsy and unwieldy. I use mostly Tombow and Duck tape runners, and I've never had any break. They work pretty well, too.

Carolyn, I use Scotch double-sided tape for my cards, and that holds REALLY well.

I'm pretty simple, I use photo squares and glue dots..its pretty tedious so now I want the dispenser..next purchase, hoepfully. :)

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Aileen's Tacky Glue! Yes, I put GLUE on my scrap pages!!! It is probably not acid free and I don't care (don't know why I dont care but I don't!!!) I think I started using it for my cigar box purses I made and never stopped (2 years later)! Oh, no ripples in the paper, either from it!
