Please tell me about them...all about them...where to get them, how much they are, refills, how much you love them or hate them. Are they worth the price? What does ATG stand for?

Okay - Sore subject for me right not cause I CAN'T FIND MINE......... I have the red one. How in the world could I not find a big red gun?????? Where in the world is it????? UGH...........
Okay - Sorry - I had to have a moment there. So let's just say that I love it so much that if for some reason I really couldn't find it (cause I know it's around here somewhere hiding and giggling at me......) If I couldn't find it I would seriously run out and get a new one......
I forget how much I paid but yeah - I think it's worth it.

I LOVE mine. Never going back to 'reg' adhesive ... it's SO worth it! ATG is adhesive transfer gun? I think.
Recommend framingsupplies.com - without a doubt, the lowest price round. I have the yellow one (with the adapter) and I think I'd recommend the red one - just cause if you want 1/2" instead of 1/4" you can just do two strips of adhesive! I don't change out the sizes mid roll, so haven't really needed the flexibility of having the different sizes.
You won't be disappointed! And I'd say you never lose it ... but Maria may question that!

i just got one and it FINALLY got delivered (on back order!)- it took me like 30 minutes to figure out how to load the darn thing but finally got it (i think)- my only thing is that when I used it yesterday, it seemed like the tape was lifting off of the paper- ANYBODY- am i doing something wrong??
as for where and how much- go here and look around. i got the red one as well and about 5 rolls of tape (but my mom bought it for me for my birthday)
i am hoping someone can tell why the tape doesn't stick to the paper when i run it across- i am sure i am doing something wrong...

Kylissa, it does take some getting used to. Hmmm - how can i explain it... you kind of want to pull up at an angle. So, push down against the paper, release the lever and pull up. Geez, that probably makes no sense at all - hoping someone else can explain better than I can!

I always stand when i scrap too kylisa - and i had the same problem. but i discovered if i just hold the gun at a little more of a right angle to the table the tape sticks great. i love my atg and it is SO much more economical!
i would recommend the 1/4 inch one though. i have the 1/2 inch and find sometimes its too big.
hope this helps

I love mine! It does take some getting used to because of the size, but now it's one of my favorite scrapbook tools.
The gun is a little pricey but I did the math on what I was spending for small adhesive refills & after a few refills you come out ahead.
Keep your loading instructions with your refill stash. By the time I need to refill the tape, I can never remember how to put the new one on. Also it is really sticky, so make sure you are sure about placement before sticking stuff together.
Good luck.

Good advice. Only complaint - it's not good with moving stuff after you put it down. I'm still learning this, and I've had it over a year!

i am actually ordering one of these soon. i had been looking for the cheapest place though. im glad i came in here and saw the link up there. thats even cheaper than another site i had bookmarked. i havent ordered it because i too am unsure if to get the 1/2 or 1/4. i dont want to change it mid roll-i heard its a hassle.

I love my red one! The adhesive rolls are inexpensive. A little really holds a lot. If you are a mover invest in un-du. I have learned to plan before I adhere.

another vote for Framingsupplies.com--I actually live about 30 minutes from them and picked mine up in the shop---If you go the website, and go to the yellow ATG gun pic and click on it and video will play and tell you how to load it--it's not much different than the red gun so you can get a good idea of how it's supposed to be.

I love mine as well, I ordered mine from framingsupplies.com. I bought the red one and I'm a lefty as well. Didn't know that it could be a problem but I have overcome it and won't use anything use. Worth the money. Speaking of money I think it was around $40.00.

It just looks so huge and cumbersome to me...awkward to use. It looks like it would be hard to get very accurate in small places. Please tell me I'm wrong.
