Hi everyone. I'm new to the mini book and decided to do one for my brothers family and sister this year for Christmas. Bought supplies today but here's the rub.... Do I leave out pictures and just do a layout for their families, or do I go back to pics from the 60's & 70's with a few misc. years thrown in. Don't have too many pics of everyone as Mom gave me only mine. What would you all do? Thanks in advance!! DeDe

Here's waht I would do-

If I had only enough pictures of their families to do a few LO's then I would do that- and then write a note to request more photos which you can always make more lo's later to add.

I don't see how you would make a complete mini album without having several photos of each family to complete the mini unless you want to add a lo of journaing-

But if you have at least maybe 6 rmore photos of each family you can make up a pretty decent mini album with that many.

HTH!

I would make the book so that your brother and sister can drop in there own pictures of their families. If you don't want to give them a book that's empty then I would use decorative paper clips to include a few pics that you have and some journaling. That way they could either use those or put in their own. I would do a mini album with the pics that your Mom gave you and show them the finished project then offer to "finish" the book for them once you get the pictures they want in the book! Hope that helps!

Just my 2 cents. When ever I give a mini book away and have not filled it with pictures I always give them an adhesive of some sort so they can put the pictures in the book and it is archival safe. If your not a scrapper you may not know to use the special glue and you want the book to stand the test of time.

Just a suggestion
