OK, every frame that I looked at had big, ugly metal things and gadgets that would definitely show on the finished project. How was the glass being held into the frame that was demonstrated in this webisode? And, do you have any recommendations on where to get one?

hmmm....i know ellyn (a SISter) did this project....maybe send her a private message? also you can pm courtney too....she is the thrift store queen :)
& i haven't done it yet...but from what i gathered the glass in the frame was most likely held w/ those little staples that go from the frame to the 1/2 " or so to hold the glass in & then the frame would be mounted on the wall using a picture hanger that would be on the top of the frame.
ok...now that i've confused the heck out of you...LOL!! i'll ask the experts to lend some advice here :)

Kathy,
I just saw this thanks to sweet Gigi pointing it out to me :)
the frame I used did have small metal tabs that had to be folded in to hold the glass in place. For some reason the frame I used [super cheap-o one] had small enough tabs that they only show SLIGHTLY like from an angle you can see the tabs...
I recommend you bend those tabs back and forth a couple times and actually snap them off - Use a tube of liquid nails or clear caulking and just place a small bead of the adhesive on the inside ledge of the frame then place glass over top of the adhesive letting it settle into place. again you want the bead of caulking/adhesive to be pretty small because the glue will really spread out when the glass in placed over the top of it...
Please please please let me know if you have any other questions. You can always PM me.
