Is she a mess or what?? I loved the "message" to her dog. She was a totaly blast to interview...she's so artistic and has a great philosophy about scrapbooking as an art. Cool stuff...check it out.

There are a few times you can see me literally holding my own hands down on my kneee b/c I know how bad I am w/ the gestures.

All of my professors have mentioned that during presentations. ;)

I love KC, I love her work, the way she writes and talks, her attitude and her hair!!

My painting teacher is an anti scrapper and is always making fun of scrappers and how we think its art...I need to show her KC's stuff, that will change her tune!!

Well, if that's the all the criticism you get for public speaking, you're doing pretty well!

Anyway, loved the interview, KC sounded so at ease. My favorite KC recording is the CK HOF call with Lisa. That was classic!

Ok, so, again, new to the whole "online" scrapbook community. Please don't take anything I say as being a "hater" (as I just found out there are some out there)(scrapper haters? Really???) but I'm confused. Was she really saying that everything she does is considered art, but what we, or I, an "average scrapbooker", create is not? Did I totally interpret that the wrong way? I hope so. I'm not familiar with her but I've seen her stuff and admire and am inspired by it, as I am by ALOT of other people's ART.
Again, not tryin' to be negative, just tryin' to understand... & sorry so long!!

Howdy SIS!

I assure you that neither Kristi or I were insinuating that her work was like superior or uber artistic and the old regular scrapper's aren't. On the contrary, I think the point we were making is that this really can be an art form. Apparently, some people argue that scrapbooking is NOT an art form at all. What I was saying was that I didn't feel like MY scrapbooking could be elevated to the "art" level. (It's totally important to be all self deprecating and stuff when you interview people. LOL j/k) I wasn't suggesting that other people's wasn't art, that's totally in the eye of the beholder, I was just saying that I felt that hers was and mine wasn't...I certainly wouldn't speak about all the scrappers in the world in generalities like that, well who knows what I would say 'cuz I get nervous and stuff!...although I would like to teach them how to sing and buy them a Coke (what is it with my hippie references tonight?) :) Also, I am very sleepy and I tend to lose my filter when I'm sleepy...and had a few gulps of Corona...all that to say Kristina is a DOLL and doesn't have any kind of superior attitude or anything...she just wants to inspire people to give this hobby, art whatever you want to call it a chance. Thanks for posting!!
