The sun is shining in the Netherlands, but to call that Summer... mwaaaah... it's not that warm! I am very tired, it is only 3 pm but I didn't sleep well at all last night... and did not do much today but blog my "weekend lay out" and some grocerie shopping (we have to eat, don't we) So that's all ladies, if someone could send me some good vibes/more energy - that will be welcome and higly appriciated!!!

I just sprayed my hop plant - it was full of lice.... ieeeekkkk! It's late in the afternoon, I have 20 minutes left to spend at the computer before I'm off cooking dinner. I feel like this was a "lost day"...

Okay..I am jumping on board here...today is my first official day of summer vacation (I am a teacher) and I have already gotten so much accomplished!! I went to a local (remodeled) park and walked to get my steps in, Walgreens to pick up a invitation announcment I am working on, got directions typed up and sent to said invitation announcement customer, registered for a JoAnne's fabric crochet class (I can't wait for this)....Now I think I am going to start to tackle the SIS yearbook pics.
THANK YOU PEGGY for doing the hard part. I think I am going to go to your flickr, copy each pic into my PSE and add their name and sis name to the front of the picture...then once I have them all, print and create my yearbook. PEGGY- Did you make a yearbook or did you order one?

Busy morning. Walked Zeek, had to take a "juice sample" into the vet after that (that's a lot of fun collecting that, at least he's a boy!), to the post office to mail swap stuff, an hour at the gym, home to jump in the shower and now I have to head to work!

YAY!!! My Slice is working! I called customer support and it was an easy fix. Just take the blade housing out, put it back in, give it a whack on the side ...yes, very technical...and it works! She said that the whack gets the blade to drop into position!

I've seen the Slice, but I dont' know if I need it since I have a Cricut.
Talking about food, I'm hungry! I have about an hour before lunch now as it is, and I have no idea what I'm having. May be a Subway kind of day!

zeeksmom: NOW I understand "packages." I call 'em Z-bombs. At least "lincoln logs" are easier to pick up than yellow spots on the CARPET (not the TILE or the HARDWOOD, the CARPET!) I'm looking into hardwood for the living room. As for what's upsetting her, how old is she, and what kind is she?
Well, she is 6 years old. She is part Catahoula Leopard and who knows what. Zoey is usually very well trained, but at least three times she has been outside and come in and just a few minutes later she leaves several solid ones. I even came home from dance at 9:30 at night and my husband was in the back room. The front entry was a mine field.
The only thing I can think is that since my husband had been gone for several weeks the backyard didn't get mowed. Maybe she didn't like the way the tall grass brushed her bum when she went potty.
Well, I just got home from preparing for summer school. I am a little nervous because it is my first time teaching 5th grade and my first time teaching summer school and I am trying to figure out how I am going to review a years curriculum in 18 school days.

it is STUFFY in chicago today - bleh. at least the sun has finally come out! oh and the slice is AWESOME. my sister has one, but I haven't gotten it yet because I have the silhouette and can draw out any shape that I really like with Illustrator... but sometimes that so time consuming. I WANT A SLICE!!!

my husband convinced me to buy it because he started adding up all the punches I wanted to get.
I still think some punches are right for certain jobs, however.

I had the honor of playing with some of the herdman kids in the pool today. Talk about fun. Phoenix is swimming in the deep end now!!! (Thanks to my great and unofficial swimming lessons today. haha!)

I know right! She's doing really good.
In other news. I just cut my finger, really dang good with a cut co knife. I decided to forgo the stitches for a Nemo bandaid. Ouch.

At work or the 5 days off? At work I'm saving more lives. You know, the usual, scanning lumbars for back pain that patients have had "oh all my life," and that sort of thing. I have to bite back all the time from saying, "All your life! Glad you made it in as quick as possible!" I'm so snarky!
As for my days off, my family lives in the Vincennes area (2.5 hrs away) and it's my family reunion on Mom's mom's side of the family on Saturday. Not too exciting, I know, but I"m not at WORK!
