here's a fun game for all of us!!
it's called the neverending thread because the last person to respond is the winner. but you don't know when we'll be picking a winner
so the challenge is to keep up a converstation with each other, respond to each others comments, get to know your sisters, new and old, and randomly we'll be selecting winners.
basically i'm going to ask all of the f-girls to pick a secret date and time in the next 2 weeks, and whoever is the last person to respond on this thread before each deadline will be a winer, we'll announce the winners before the start of SIS live '09
chat away.............

What do you all have planned for the remainder of the weekend?

I went to town with my son, he needed new sportspants and shoes (for school) and we found them for bargain prizes - Yeah! It's 2.30 pm right now, still a few hours to fool around before dinner... so what will it be? Scrapping? Hanging with my hubby? Hanging out with you girls... but I guess you ARE sleeping now - 'cause if I calculate right (always a problem! I suck at mathematics!!!) it must be around 6.30 am where Stacey is... sweet dreams, OR (for everyone awake) have a nice - creative - Sunday! (p.s. it's raining overhere )

I am all caught up on all my swaps! I finished my favorite quote cards last night, definition cards (twopeasinabucket.com), and this month's last collective journal set of pages due 6/15 (2peas, again). I have a fry box swap due 7/6 that I started, then 7/15 three sets of collective journal pages to do, and an international swap (half here, half Japan-colors 4x4 swap, then she adds all the pages and binds them with a chipboard cover we made and sends them back-should be interesting).
I have decided to start my own blog, and hope to get it up this weekend.
A friend of mine is throwing a surprise 40th birthday party for her parents and I offered to help with the save-the-date cards and invitations. The invites will be soooo cool. We used white, folded to 5x7 crosswise. Then there's a black overlay. Between the two is a wallet sized pic of her parents (her dad carrying her mom on their wedding day) on acetate. There is a window cut in the black and white pieces, then the pic goes between and there's nothing behind it on the inside so it kind of looks like stained glass sort of thing. So cool!
I also need to walk Zeek this morning, and that hasn't happened yet, so I had better get!

I haven't walked Zeek yet. I'm having trouble with my portfolio. There are layouts in there that I can't pull up to edit. It lets me see them if I hover over them, but then it won't let me do anything but delete them. I'm considering deleting everything and starting over.
I'm new at this, so bear with me. It didn't look that difficult.
Maybe I should just try loading and editing one at a time instead of doing it in a batch.

zeeksmom: I have decided to start my own blog, and hope to get it up this weekend. Can't wait to see that!
I am now checking on my naughty dog who as taken to leaving packages at the front door even though she has had 1/2 an hour of play time in the back yard. Gotta figure out what's bothering her.
Any ideas?
As far as scrapping/craftiness...None of that will probably happen until after summer school.

ChrisA-
I went to Topsail Island (NC) for the weekend a couple of years ago and have TONS of pictures. I took so many of the sunrise on the water that if I flipped through them it would probably be a movie!
I made a scrapbook (8x8) for my boyfriend of that weekend, and had a ton of journaling. It's like a wrote a story and had illustrated it with all the pictures. I saw nothing but that book for twelve hours a day for two days. It's like I had a fever or something.
It turned out awesome, and he showed it off all the time. Two years after that we split (on good terms) but I sure wish I had that book back!!!!

When you log on, Zeeksmom, go to "My portfolio". Then click on "Edit Portfolio" up at the top. Then click on the layout that you want to edit and if it's yours, you can change all kinds of things. Let me know if this helps.

MommyVictory: so I am going to go to church i wish i was going to church this morning... however, i must get moving & go open Casa Scrapbook to prepare for the 7-hour crop today... thankfully this is a short day (10-3) for me! it's raining & sticky here & i could SO stay in bed until like noon...

Diane- It might have been the hard way to go, but I just deleted everything and started alllll over. I think they're in the layouts now, but I don't have any albums. I'll worry about those later, one thing at a time
Zeek has had his walk and is share of squirrel chasing. Now he's outside patrolling the yard.
I'm so glad it's not raining here! We've had sooooo much of it that it's made it hard to mow the grass. Not that I enjoy mowing grass, but since I'm lord and master of the dwelling, I can't train Zeek to do it, and I don't own any goats, I don't have a choice. I actually don't have to worry about it for a couple of weeks. The mower went into the shop last week, and as a treat to myself for all the frustration and stress of dealing with the $^#! thing for three weeks, I'm having someone ELSE mow it this week and next. I'll have to be careful, I may get used to it!
Now, maybe I should put the vacuum in the shop so someone else can do that and the rest of the housework, too!

amyg'- I was up around 7, I do that even when it's raining! Weird I guess! I've just always been an early riser, even if I go to bed later than usual, I still get up early. You'd think I'd get more done, but I don't. Since I've found this site it's all I can do to do housework, go to work, and make it to the gym 4 days a week...

Almost diner time in Holland, and I didn't do a thing this afternoon (but sipping a glass of wine with my beloved!) I looked at the Art Jounal page that I finished last night though, and I love it! When I still love it the next day, it means it's good! (at least to my standarts!) so it will be up on my blog/gallery tomorrow! And it's still raining in Holland, a LOT of rain coming down

MommyVictory: I am now checking on my naughty dog who as taken to leaving packages at the front door even though she has had 1/2 an hour of play time in the back yard. Gotta figure out what's bothering her. NOW I understand "packages." I call 'em Z-bombs. At least "lincoln logs" are easier to pick up than yellow spots on the CARPET (not the TILE or the HARDWOOD, the CARPET!) I'm looking into hardwood for the living room.
As for what's upsetting her, how old is she, and what kind is she? I have a 5 1/2 year old Jack Russell, who I got when he was three and STILL HAD THE FAMILY JEWELS! Marked the ottoman in the kitchen 7 times in 15 minutes when I got him, no lie. It was 8 months or so that I felt that I had "won" and then in the last few weeks he's showed me what he thought of me turning around and mowing the yard right after I took him for a walk. AGH!

I have a blog now! It's oh so boring right now, but at least it's there. There's only one post, and I'm trying to figure out the customizing and all that. You can check it out if you want and come say hi, then you'll have another reason to chat on here!

I think maybe I'll start a collection of blogs now that I have one. Something else I have to tear myself away from to do the mundane things like work and clean.

Just finished planting new pretty things in my deck planters and trimmed a huge dogwood bush.
Not raining here! Thank goodness.
No good movies out that we haven't seen already.
Will probably go bowling.
