When it's time to start this I will most likely have questions, I'm an old lady and haven't done this before so I have to learn and do the best I can. So I am sure there will be questions along the way that's all. thanks

The best thing I've seen is one where the books don't travel, the pages come to you. Everyone decides what their theme is, size, how many pages (one page or two page layouts), layout info (like are the pages top loading so the whole page can be filled, or do they need to save space on the page for it to go in the book), any other details, tag information (whether you have a sign in page that you want them to design their own tag for [after giving them details for size and info needed and if you want a pic of them on it too]), and if the tag goes on their page, is separate, or if you want the tag or just the info so you can make all the tags.
This way, the books never get lost, and if there are any flakers, (and I'm sure there won't be, we all sound cool so far) you haven't lost your book, just their pages. The thread that I'm on that is doing this, on another site, is on a six month rotation. As long as each person has not flaked and has filled their commitment, then they can post that book again, or another journal theme to put into rotation.
Once we have all our details and enough people to start, we can "feature" the first one or two on the list for a month at a time. For example, Lindalou and scrapbaby would be featured for a month, you would have a month to finish their pages, and then the list gets bumped to the next two in line, and so on.
The other thing about this, is that if you're a go getter, you can jump ahead to the others on the list anytime you want, and can actually not get behind. It gives you ideas of what will be coming down the line and if you see things that may work for that as you come across them, then you have a jump on it. I'll post the idea for my journal, to give you an idea.

I like the idea of each book staying put and just mailing the pages. Not only are we sure we still have our books but the shipping is less.

I am interested, but will want to know what the expectations are before I can commit.
It has been my experience that most CJ groups have a monthly due date for the book to arrive, be worked on and mailed on. And in those experiences I have found that that is way too short of an amount of time. I would want there to be about a 6 week to 2 month period for working on the journals. I like to do a really good job and find I cannot do that with such a short time in between.
I am not a fan of not passing the actual book, I like to see the journal and work right in it.
Also, I LOVE the idea of when they're done, they get passed again completed. It's such a united project, and usually the members become big parts of each others' lives, I like to see the finished project.
These are my ideas, and if they don't fit your vision, I totally understand!

I was thinking that if we already had a master list of what each one was about, then we would have more than enough time if they were posted and two at a time were featured, then if you needed more than the month you could look ahead in advance.
We can post pages in our galleries, and while it's not as much fun as seeing them live and in person, you do get to see what happens as we go along.
We could talk about passing the journals when they're all done if everyone wanted to, I suppose. By then, if we had all our pages we should know there are no flakers.
If you're still interested mk, cool, if not, we'll miss you...

I wouldn't think so. You might say whether or not you have top loading pages or if you're binding them in case they need to leave room for that. Do you want them to sign the pages, make a tag (with their name and whatever on it) or give you the info to make your own sign in page...
Just a suggestion.

side by side. PLEASE, leave about 1/2 to 3/4 in margin in the middle of your LO- because I plan to use my bind it all to put the book together.
Would you like us to make our own tag, or just provide info/pic (all of which is optional) for you to make the tag yourself? write your name/board name & location on the back of the pages, I want to make uniform tags or a credit page myself.
