(Copied and pasted formt he buzz)
Hotmama made a lay out inspired by Alice in Wonderland. I once made a lay out with the same theme... and she just commented on that: "We should so start an ALICE Circle journal.. wouldn't that be lovely?"
And yes, that WOULD be lovely!
So I put it here. Interested? Any suggestions? Ideas? Maybe together we can work something out... and inspire each other. That's what it's all about after all, isn't it?
I'm kinda new here, so I don't know the drill yet, but I'm a fast learner and open for all suggestions so I'll wait for ya all to respond and see what happens...
Bree: I promised i wouldnt do anymore atc swaps but this is a little different... We can each do a page, and then mail it to the next person on the list. That simple.. Im not sure who'll end up keeping it.. but thats not the point..
I love ALice adn would love to work on one..
Do you want in?

Been a long time since I saw that video...unfortunately I can't do any more swaps...I am overwhelmed with the end of school coming about and I still have an inchie swap and an ATC swap to finish soon. Better not make any more commitments. Can't wait to see what you all do, though.

Hellooooo! I found you Marit! I think this sounds fab, so much inspiration in that book, and the illustrations (and the films!). Maybe we could do a 'chapter' each; off the top of my head I know the book divides up quite easily into sections where Alice meets each of the characters. But whatever - I've never done this before, it could be less restrictive than that maybe.
So - count me in!

If there's a small number of us interested maybe we should just do the circle journal?? That's what I'd be interested in doing because I haven't done one before. I <3 Alice and I don't think that the 2.5X3.5 space of an ATC would be enough room!

AngelaSpangela: and I don't think that the 2.5X3.5 space of an ATC would be enough room! I agree! If there are just a few ladies into this, why not make 6 pages each (we're at a number of 6 now, aren't we)
But maybe we have to wait a while untill - let's say - May 15th or something or until we got a number of 10 participants??? And if we acturally do a journal, what would you prefer as the measures of the pages?
This is just a proposition 'cause after all Bree (Hotmama) would be hosting the whole thing. So tell me all what you think of it

I love the idea of us each making a page for each others journal... so we each have one in the end...
how about a 6x6 page, then we can just tuck them into a little album, or we can bind them?
ooo I have a bind it all.. i could put them together for everyone if they want? or send them as is.. what ever you would like...
And I can add a chipboard cover and back and leave it blank for you to finish once you get it?
I kind of like that idea...
what do you guys think?
And lets take sign ups until May 15th, then thats it.. and Im flexible on the finish date .. and if you need more time to finish it, or need out.. just pm me.. cuz communication is key....

I like this idea!!! 6x6 pages (is that only one page then, or two- one left and a right page???? I don't mind eather way...) anyway, 6x6 is OK with me. And I don't have a bind-it-all, so I love the idea of B. binding it with chipboard blank cover - and finish them ourselfs, and show the results to each other afterwards. Yep, let's take sign ups till the 15th.... and all end up with a complete little album... I love it!
hotmama: cuz communication is key.... Let's hear what you all think of this!

I love the idea of a 6x6 page but I never had done a cirkcle journal. And if you make 2 page than you have to do both sides that will be 4 sides or do you mean the left and right side and you sent it to the next one? Yeh sorry Englisch is diffecult and I want to understand everything ..... Sorry little bit blonT

Thanks Linda Loe! And I thought of doing left and write (so 2 sides, not 4) and leave the other side blank (or a patterned paper, or maybe your name-blogaddress - who made the pages? That's nice too....)

I'm down for the 2-6X6 pages.
Are we going traditional and each picking a theme and everyone will have to interpret it or are we just going to treat it like an ATC swap where I pick X and I'll make the pages for it?

I'm in for everything, but if it comes to choosing a chapter/caracter.... I definitely want the mad hatter! (already looking/thinking/making? a hat!!!!) But taking it as you want is OK with me too... and maybe it is just fun ending up with 6 smiling cats 'cause hey, it would be 6 DIFFERENT smiling cats, wouldn't it... just let your inspiration flow ladies!
And now it's Tuesday already overhere (12.15 am) and I must go to bed. So shutting the pc and "see" you again this week!

Maritscrapworld: I definitely want the mad hatter! Poo! I <3 the Mad Hatter. But you called dibs first so I'll go with the queen of hearts : ]
I think it'd be cool to treat it like a *jumbo* ATC swap and make however many pages that would be the character you pick and then swap them that way??

AngelaSpangela: to treat it like a *jumbo* ATC swap Welcome Callista, the more the merrier!!!
What do ya mean by "Jumbo Swap"??? Does that mean we each make the page the number of participants? (Oh, my English sucks when it comes to asking/explaning... sorry!) I mean, if we are with 7 participants, everyone makes 7 pages so we ALL end up with a complete journal?!! If that's what it means, it's OK with me. I like the idea of everyone having a complete "Alice Journal" at the end.

Maritscrapworld: I mean, if we are with 7 participants, everyone makes 7 pages so we ALL end up with a complete journal?!! Exactly!! So it'll be more like a minibook than a journal, but I like the idea of that if we have a small number of swappers.

AngelaSpangela: Poo! I <3 the Mad Hatter. But you called dibs first so I'll go with the queen of hearts Hey, if you want the same character - that's no problem at all for me! I think everybody had to pick what he wants, even it's the same character... the lo's will all be different anyway so what's the problem? Take any character you like!!!
