so i thought this week for TGIF ATC i would address any questions that swap virgins or newbies might have....... any questions about ATCs or our swaps or anything? ask away :)
and i want to say thanks to the girls who played along last week angie b, gemini_jen, and MandyKay, i'll be sending you girls a little one-of-a-kind ATC
and i've been busy playing with cards and my sewing machine this week and i'd like to do some one on one swaps so if you'd like to swap cards with me, maybe you've got some extra ATCs laying around or you've always wanted to swap and you want to start small, or you just like getting mail as much as i do, leave your email and i'll be in touch with you soon

I'm a virgin as far as ATC swaps go but I have joined a couple of future swaps and don't want to disappoint anyone. I know the basics but what about some specifics - like can they be 3-dimensional, ie. a mini scrapbook layout with flowers or buttons or ribbons? Or??? Do you do something on both sides? I'd love to try a few and exchange.

some swaps will tell you what info. to include such as name, location, email, etc.... for my swaps i suggest at least your username so everyone will know which piece of art is yours but i don't require anything specific. usually i just initial the back of my cards, sometimes i put my blog info.
and i don't number mine but alot of people do so i think it's up to you.

anything goes! you could definately think of an ATC as a mini scrapbook page :) just keep in mind when you are packaging your cards for a swap that everything needs to be securely attached otherwise they will fall off and/or stick to other cards. sometimes i will put each individual card in a small ziploc bag (like the ones you can find in the jewelry making aisle) that way they don't stick to eachother and if anything falls off it is still with it's card.
ChrisA: Do you do something on both sides?
i usually do. but not always and i don't think it's ever required, at least not with my SIS swaps.
as i said above i do suggest your username but whether you just sign it or decorate the back is a personal choice :)
