Would anyone be interested in a DFW Crop? I know we have tried a few times, but it just hasn't worked out. More than lkely it would be at the Crafty Scrapper, and it wouldn't be anytime soon since school is starting and then there are the holidays. I was thinking Jan or Feb. I just wanna get an idea of how many would like to come so I can talk with the owner.
Anybody want in?

Awesome! I really hope this makes. I would love to meet some of the sisters. I've been here so long and I feel like I don't know anybody.
Also wanted to add that The Crafty Scrapper is in Waxachie.

ah, ok, I'm with you.
We can move it up to mid to late oct. or even nov. I talked to Caroline today and she said everything sounds great, we just need our date. What's good for y'all?

Allie, those dates are great for me.
I'll call Caroline tomorrow and see which is best for her. I know they have some events going on in the next few mos.
If anyone has a problem with any of these days, please speak up, otherwise, I'm gonna go ahead and make these the tentative dates. I'd love to meet as many Sisters as possible.

Okay, here's the deal.
I talked to Carolyn today, and she said we could have any of these November dates, all Saturdays. Nov 1st, 8th or 15th.
It will be a 14 hour crop from 10 am to midnight. Dinner is pizza, drinks and a big salad (a la Elaine from Seinfeld) <--- Did anyone get that or am I rambling?
Anyway...cost is $20 and we can bring lunch, order in, or go to one of the surrounding restaurants. Her store is amazing y'all, you're gonna love it!
Lmk which date will be best, so I can let her know asap.

Hey guys, I'm gonna call her Monday morning and tell her that the 15th of November is fine. She is planning her crop night around us and holding off on announcing the date so that it doesn't fill up and we miss out.
If that's not okay, let me know before the end of the weekend and I'll happily change it.
Since there aren't enough of us to fill up her crop area, she is going to open up the crop to the public, but only after we sign up. I'll post back here when it's okay to call and sign up.

I am thinking the 8th but let me look at my schedule for activities...it may be a few days until I know about softball but if you schedule I will be there...
Deanna - can you make the 8th?? if the first works for you that will be fine with me too -
Be back soon after I look at my schedule - thanks again for doing all of this - quick question, are there any cute places to stay...bed and breakfasts?? I ma not much for driving at night and would rather not drive home if I can find a place??

Bring as many people as you'd like, I believe her capacity is about 28.
I'll hold off a little while on asking her for the date so people can get their schedules together, but it will be for sure one of those 3.
You know, I'm not from there, so I don't really know too much about the surrounding area, but next time I talk to her, I'll ask about places to stay, I'll also look and see if there is anything online that is close and reasonible.

it looks like the 1st will work for best for me...right now they are talking about the 8th and or 15th for a camping trip but I just dont know yet on either of those???

My brother and sis-in-law live in Waxahachie and we have stayed at a hotel downtown called the Rogers Hotel. Here is there website:URL
It is supposedly haunted and I didn't know that when I stayed there or I probably wouldn't have but it is really a pretty hotel.

I am calling Carolyn tomorrow to reserve the 1st. I'm so excited.
Since we are not filling her entire crop space she is going to open the crop up to the public also. I am going to ask her to hold off on posting the crop on her site until Monday night. It is VERY important that you call sometime this weekend. Her crops fill up in a literal snap!
If you do sign up, please let me know as I am putting together some crop goodies, and door prizes and would like to get at least an approximate head count. You can PM me if you want.
I will post here immediately when she gets it all set up as well as the phone number and any updates.
BIT- Ill ask her about hotels when I talk to her tomorrow.
I think that's it. If you have any questions, just ask. :)

Okay, I talked to her today, and here's the deal.
The 1st is no longer available because she has holiay classes scheduled for that day. Also the 15th isnt available. So that leaves the 8th. You guys I'm so sorry about the mix-up. I feel awful.
If we still want to hold the crop on the 8th, she said we are more than welcome. I do need to get back to her immediately though, so if you are interested, please LMK as soon as possible. I will be calling her tomorrow to confirm or cancel.
Here are the specifics. After I call her tomorrow, you can call to get a space. The crop is $20 and that is due at the time of the call. If you call to go but later find you can't make it to the crop, the fee is refundable up to the Saturday before the crop...so if you aren't sure now, you can call just to be safe and still get your money back if your plans change.
If this change isnt good for a majority of the group, she also said we could have a date in january.
BIT, I don't have a list of people who are confirmed to go. Now that we have a date set in stone though, I should be able to get one and I'll definitely post it. Also, I talked to her about hotels, and she said There is a Holiday Express and Comfort Inn close to the store. She said they are both new so they shouldn't be all grody.
