Hey Cassie do you have a date set yet for the partners list?
I thought I would leave it open until August 29. I can pair everyone up that weekend. We can run it from the beginning of September through Thanksgiving.
Are those dates ok?

I will match each participant up with a partner. You can stalk their blog, ask them questions about what they like/dislike, exchange surveys...anything to get to know them better...then send them something in the mail.
It can be anything. You can make them something or send them some fabulous ribbon or chipboard.
Last time around, I sent my partner a huge box in the beginning to say hi, then another big one at the end.
In between, I sent her something every week(ish). I sent her a card or small package. The goal here is that we are receiving smething in the mail that we otherwise would not have received.
I also sent her a sewing machine. I had one laying around, lol!
I really, really liked her!
There will also be a RAK (random act of kindness) List where you can send something to anyone you choose. Send one, send 40...up to you.
You can send anything really. I am a hoarder of everything, so I like to send out lots of stuff...ribbons, fibers, vintage cards, game cards, ephemera, office supplies, ATC's...the sky(or your budget) is the limit!!

I haven't sent any emails out to anyone yet.
We will close the sign ups Friday Aug 29th.
I will pair everyone up, send out one GIANT email to all.
That email will have a link in it for the new Happymail Yahoo group.
You can go there to enter your info into the database for RAKs!!!
This worked great last round.
Look for something from me Saturday August 30th!!!

i highly agree! mail has gotten to be all bills and ad flyers. who gets excited over their electric bill? not me. but i love getting fun stuff in the mail. especially suprise goodies. i think i'm going to start stuffing some envelopes with random stuff now so i know i will at least be sending out one or two RAKs to everyone in addition to lots of goodies for my partner. i love the idea of sending punches and fibers. i have some really yummy paper clips that i would love to share as well.

I'm super excited for round 3. I had a superb partner last time (kristinak) and have gotten lots of little (and BIG) envelopes from some very generous sisters both near & far (I love you all!!! for making my mailman hoof it up my hill!)
yay! happily anticipating my next hm SISter. (oh, and I'm very okay with international--it's so cool to see what odds & ends turn up from Canada/Aus/NZ, etc).
