Lately seen some nice Harry Potter pages come by in the gallery... (yes some call it being a nerd :D). But you have to love those books...
How about a Harry Potter ATC swap?
You can choose a pic from a movie, a special scene, a character, a self view of a moment from the book...
CasWest will help me out with the shipping part, she lives in the US hosts the shipping of the cards for me, I'm hosting the online part. :D Thanks Cas!!!
Who does the flying car, Hedwig, Malfoy, Hagrid, the school, Dobey, Sirius Black, Ron, The Twins, a teacher, screaming plant, Dumbledoor, Neville, the dining room, Dobey, and so much more to choose from... :D

This is my third time I join and first time hosting!
What do you want to know! If you ask your questions online, somebody else might also learn from it... ;-) Maybe that person is just affraid to take the step to ask.
So please ask it here! And I (or any other SIS) will try to help you out! No question is silly!

I'm sure these answers can be found somewhere among the message boards... but I'm not sure where to look. I s'pose I can ask away.
What size is a trading card?
Can the design come off the edge of the card?
Do you decorate both sides or do you write on one side and decorate the other?
For example, if there are 25 people in the swap, do you make 25 and keep one for yourself (sending in 24) or do you send 25 and get one back, or does the 25th one go to the moderator, and if you want one for yourself, do you need to make an extra one to keep (thus making 26)?
Do you need to send an envelope with your cards to get the swapped ones back?
Ok... that's all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure I'll think of some other questions later.

ATC's are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" or the size of a standard playing card.
A lot of people, including myself put the cards in protectors so if it comes off the edge too much, it will get squished. I think a little is fine though.
If there are 25 people in the swap, send 25 cards. The host will split up the cards and send everyone a full set.
You don't have to make an extra one for you, you are included in the 25...this way everyone gets a full set.
Envies are up to the host...some reuse the one that you sent, some ask that you send another one that has your addy on it.
It is always good to ask questions!!!

What size is a trading card?
Okay, I only know the Dutch measurement which is in cm. That is 6.4 by 8.9. I thought the US measurement is 2.5 by 3.5. But I'm sure somebody will let us know!
One side is decorated, on the other side you can write your name and which swap it is. But you can also print it out and put it on or even nummer the cards, like when it's 20, 1/20 2/20 3/20...
This is what I put on the back of the ROCK ATC swap URL But it's up to you, just have your name on it! That's what counts the most.
The 25 is included your own. So you get a complete set. You can make a few more for yourself. Sometimes it fun to trade cards yourself... I always make a few extra.
You send off yours to the host (in this case, it's not me, 'cause I don't live in the US)... The host will get everything together and will ship all the new cards back to you. Shipping fee is mostly about $4,-.
If you live internationaly, mostly you can work it out with paypal.
It's advised to send in a self adressed piece of paper, so there can be no mistake in the address.

so, I really have to tell you, I am a HP nerd, and decided that I was going to do my baby's nursery in "sweet Harry Potter theme". So, my question is this, could I do 2 sets of different cards so that I can get two sets back??? I would like to do a mobile with 1 set (for the nursery) and the other set I would like with My collection. Would you guys be okay if I did that??? If so, I would like to take Crookshanks for my second set of cards. :)
