Hey everyone,
Just wanting to see if anyone is interested in a Breakfast Club ATC quote swap....the IMDB site has some great ones listed http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088847/quotes
If we get say 10 we can go with it, but the more the merrier, internationals welcome!

And I am also wondering if there is a USA based person would like to coordinate it? As I'm in Australia, it would make it crazy for postage to send everything here when most swap people seem to be USA based.

this is one of my absolute favorite movies ever! i am SO in!
i know it's a song lyric and not a quote but... i'd like to do "don't you forget about me" cause i LOVE that song and how it works so well with the movie.

I've never done an ATC or an ATC swap
but this is one of my all time favorite movies
so i'd love to give it a try
don't know if this one's taken but i'd like the closing lines
"you see us as you want to see us, as a princes, a jock, a criminal, a brain and a misfit" will double check that t make sure it's totally accurate
please spell out all the "rules" in small simple words for this newbie

FABULOUS - so glad to see some new girls.
Basically an ATC Swap is as follows:
Each person makes up a set number of ATC size cards - the final number will be listed once sign ups have finished.
ATC size is 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
On the front of the card, you create your design including the quote you choose. Adding a photo is optional.
You can use any supplies to make your cards, but try to keep your elements "inside" the card, having bits off the edge or too "lumpy bumpy" makes it hard for some people to store them if they are using baseball card holders etc.
ON the back, you can put your details - I usually just include my SIS name, country, and what the swap is, others have included email addys and little pix of themselves, it is totally up to you!
You post your cards to the coordinator (who will send out address info after signups close) BY THE DUE DATE of 31 July 2008.
You send the cards with a reply envelope or label for the host to send them back to you in.
USA residents - please include with $4 to cover return shipping costs - any extra $$ left over are donated to Charity in the past - the coordinator chooses which charity and lets us know!
Internationals - the coordinator will let each of us know individually how much the postage cost is to send the cards back, and this amount is sent to the coordinator - either by paypal or in the form of a SIStv voucher (they decide).
Committing to the swap means making sure your cards are to the person by then.
If for some reason you will be late with your cards PLEASE let us know - we understand life gets in the way at times, but keeping in touch means we can work around it.
Please do not sign up if you don't think you can have cards to the person by the due date!

That is totally up to you - I usually do mine all the same, but I have seen others that are each different.
Should the cost be a little less since there are only 10 cards?
That I can't say as I am unsure of what it does cost to send them within the USA. It costs the same for me to send them over from Australia if I have only 10 or 20!! That is why I reimburse via paypal or a SIStv voucher for the exact postage, as it may be more than 4 to send them back here.
we're including our own envelope back or no?
I usually say to resuse my mailers - I send them in a cardboard CD mailer so is reuseable (and sturdy for the international trip!) - along with a label to send them back to me in, but each person is different it seems, some people just send them in plain envelopes.
Stephanie (aka Livingroomfloor I just realised your name was on your profile..!)- If you think the amount to cover postage needs to be different, please let us know and that is the amount the USA based people can send. If you know it would be exactly $3 to cover it, and you don't want to worry about extra amounts to donate to charity, then thats fine. I know with swaps on other boards in Australia I have been in we just send the appropriate stamps to cover return post and a mailing label to reuse the envelope - but it is completely your call!!! I am just using the amount all the other swaps on SIS seem to have!
