OK Gals. I am about to upgrade to a fancy pants camera.
I would like some recommendations from the pros. Thanks!

What camera have you got at the moment?
As in ; do you / can you use some of your current lenses with the new body , or are you on a 'free for all ' change?

I'm desperately wanting a canon 5D mkII, as i have a canon 400D and would like to stay with the same brand.

Alright...
What are you going to be using the camera for?
Do you intend to start a business?

You were in my class at Siscon right?

Im a canon girl... but I know nikon is great too...

It all really depends on your intentions I suppose...
but I would say start medium grade if you intend on eventually upgrading...
but if you don't intend on upgrading, A Canon Rebel XTi is a GREAT first DSLR.

i have an XTI and it has an amazing quality for it's price. i would recommend this because you could get overwhelmed if you get anything else fancier, i know i would have.

Just to clarify my 400D is known as a Eos DIGITAL REBEL XT/i in the American market, Canon sells them as a 400D in New Zealand and Australia
