I have been having a difficult time naming my photography business. I am definitely just starting out and I probably shouldn't be super worried about this. BUT I kinda wanted to buy a domain name and start up my website. So.... I need some advice. I see a lot of people with their first or last name and photography or studio at the end. But I think it sounds funny/boring with my name. So any advice is welcomed. I would use super cool stephy photography but i dont think that sounds quite as professional as I would like it be. But it can be fun or cute or something.
My name is Stephanie Drummond so any play on that works too.

I like Stephanie Drummond Photograhy! I agree that it sounds very professional!
I like that too, but if you found it so long, you can also do Steph Drummond Photograpy, that 2 syllable (I hope that word is right, I looked it up in the dictionary) shorter in the total name.
But I also like Super Stephy Photography

You don't necessarily have to have Photography in there.

I think that Stephanie Drummond Photography would look really cool as a name. I like how all the words are about the same length. A nice sanserif font with that name would look nice. I don't think it's long...but then again my name is Lisa Day and that's flippin' short so long names are cool to me!!

You could do your buisness cards with a picture of someone (you?) in front of a RED DOOR. I love Red Door -something-.

If you want short and simple why not Drum Photo
or Red Drum Photo if you are stuck on using red somewhere.
It's a play on your name and you could do a cool logo with it.
Just my 2 cents.

I think Red Drum sounds too much like Red Rum from the movie the shining...which creeps me out.

i'm thinking I will use those other names- like red drum or red door- but i'm going use them to name that specific type of photography. So Maybe Red drum could be for children portraits and do that tricycle thing. I think sounds sooo cute!

i love the idea of using some of the other names for photo types!!!
just not sure about the red drum cause if people have seen The Shining the word murder is going to pop up into their head. sad fact but true!

Actually I totally need models right now to take pictures of. Let me know if you or anyone else you know in the Middle TN area want any pictures taken. Right now I'm not charging for the session, just for the prints.
