I've been wanting to do a layout about the cost of everyday life....mainly including groceries, gas, stuff I buy on a regular basis. While thinking more about this recently I thought I'd create a challenge to see what others are paying for their 'lives'.

So here's what to do.....

Take your camera to the store, gas station, MickeyD's anywhere you buy things and take some shots showing the item and price. That's it. Hopefully we won't be breaking any laws and get thrown in jail! :)

Any size paper, any colors, just lots of photos with prices.

Someday when we are old we can all look back and say, "Oh, geez, Staci, remember when gas was only $3.15 a gallon?!" Hopefully we can get players from other countries so we can see what life costs in their country....So come on all you scrappers outside the USA .

Let's have this done by April 15 (oohh tax day!)

Oh, I tried this recently. One thing that does not work is gel medium on Walmart receipts. It was magical! As the gel medium dried, all the words vanished off of my receipt! ROFL!!!!!!

Great challenge!

ROFLROFLROFL

Great Idea! I once did a layout with receipts and put a family picture then wrote investments above the receipts and returns above the family picture.

This is a great idea - Can't guarantee that I will do it by April 15th cause Ive been meaning to scrap this for a while:

One of the gas stations we frequent was shutting down (I guess it was two years ago) for renovations. They had the lowest gas prices in the area (cause they had to empty their tanks). The price was -
Get this: $1.99 a gallon.......
People thought I was NUTS for taking a picture of the gas sign & my car at the pump but right after that the you know what hit the fan and here we are two years later paying over $3.00 (Lowest by me is $3.34....)

Okay - I'm going to have to dig out those pictures and maybe I'll just have to actually scrap it - BEFORE THE PRICE GOES OVER $5.00
YIKES.......

Hey only 10 days, and all I have is a pic from the gas station. For some reason I'm afraid to take my camera to the grocery store. Just a big chicken, but I am making the next shopping day the day I do it. :}

It's crazy. But we don't have to have medical insuranse..if you get sick here, you don't pay anything. That is really ok I think. We just pay insuranse for us, the kids, the car and our house. and it's not that bad price either. $350 pr month. oups, off topic..

I wish the US was like this. My hubby and I watched Sicko by Michael Moore a few weeks and this is still a hot topic here. It's okay to share...
