had to restore a photo?

The only photo I have of my brother at the Air force Academy fell off the wall and smashed. That wasn't the worst part. The photo had been in the frame for 15+ years and stuck to the glass. I tore it trying to get it out.

I have a program (Gimp) that I got free on the internet since I don't have photoshop to try to fix it enough to use in an upcoming layout.

I am looking for your input...This is an ongoing edit...I can only do a little at a time as it makes my head hurt. Any comments would be helpful. Which tools (they are similar to PS) should I use?

Check it out here.

Thanks for commenting.

Wow! That looks awesome!
Did you know that you can download free trials of Photoshop? You can go HERE to see the list.

Looks like you are doing a pretty awesome job so far. I've done a lot of work on photos, and I don't think I'd have been too skilled at getting his left hand back as well as you did.
