I'm just starting digi- more than anything just want to try to create something to see if I like it or not. I have a year old baby and seem to have time to scrap NEVER, so thought if I went digi I could do it at work on breaks and lunch and such. I'm using PS7. Graphic design is part of my job, so I'm generally familiar, but still this seems to be getting the better of me. I downloaded a free kit. I opened the paper I want. Now I want to place both photos and one of the borders included without it being a chore.
I went to File> Place to get my photos in there, but it seemed awfully laborious- had to save as EPS and I can't resize or rotate them once they are placed. Is there a better way? With the element border, when I used place to include it, it's all white and not transperent background. When I try to Move from the open file onto the paper, it's tiny even though I set the magnification at the same %. ?? I'd like it to be resizable once it's on the paper if at all possible. It's a png file.
I've tried going to lots of tuts, but they are all more advanced or specific than these measly questions- sheesh! I really don't want to give up yet, this seems like it could be fun and suit what I need right now... THANKS a million for any help!

i dont know if it is a wrong program you use. I use PSE 6.0. You make layers, and then you can move them as you wanted.

I use CS2 and just drag and drop onto a blank 12 x 12 or letter-size document.
Also have you tried Scrapblog? It's digi scrapping without the hassle of downloading a single kit. It's all on the site itself.

I think the free transform tool may help you play with the positioning of the photograph. Are you trying to put it at an angle or something?
Also I do my editing to the image first on it's own. Not as an additional layer to the project. I don't add it to the paper till I'm done. And when I'm ready do I copy and then paste on to the paper.

Hi, I don't have Photoshop, but I use PSP...
In PSP you put layers on top of eachother and each layer you can move or rotate, resize... just what you want. I think you can do the same in PS7.
Good Luck! Hope it helps..
