for all you digi scrappers who are far more advanced than i am with CS3 i need some help.

i downloaded some frames and they are .png files and i thought i would be able to change the color, but i can't seem to do it. is there a way to change it? or is it not possible? any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to go to Image>>Adjustments>>Hue/Saturation and then play around with the sliders til you get the color you want :) hth!

Sometimes I do this:
Layer > LAYER STYLE > Color Overlay

then pick a color using the eyedrop tool

this is only for things that will be solid color, though.

If you change the Blend Mode while in the Layer Style Palette to Overlay or Colour you'll get the effect you want!

I know I am a total newbie here, I know the very basics of Photoshop....just downloaded some digi frames and flourishes. How do I get them to go to Photoshop instead of My Documents? I've tried moving the file.....copying the file.....and if by some chance it goes into Photoshop, how do I know it is there? So sorry to sound so dumb, but I am soooo frustrated! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can keep your files saved anywhere on your computer, you can right click on the file & then open them with photoshop. Or you can open photoshop & then open your file from there. hope that helps.

Thanks! I did open up the folder from my documents and got the page frame to go on my blank screen, but when I went to put my picture in, it disappeared! I tried locking the layer, but it still disappeared! I can't seem to keep it there! Uggghh!
