I just made my first digi layout in PSE 6.0. My dilema is that I don't know where I should save it to. I feel so dumb, but there are so many places it could go that I don't want to put it in the wrong place!
Please help me :)

I would just save it to your desktop as a jpeg. that's what I do, but I just started a few weeks ago. On the other hand, you might want to save a copy as a layered psd file, in case you want to make changes later. :)

I think the best thing you could do if you are worried about not being able to find it is to make a folder on your desktop (if you are in windows right click on your desktop go to new and then go to folder) label it whatever but on my computer mine is named digital layouts. I recommend when you save it to save in jpeg because wherever you are going to print the layout it will normally ask for Jpeg. Photoshop saves in PSD so you have to set it to Jpeg. You can also add it into a folder (in your Photoshop organizer) to do this save to the organizer make a Album (to do this go to your organizer, go to albums make new folder, label it. Then drag the layout onto the folder. It should save and make a tag showing it is in your scrapbooking folder.
I hope this doesn't confuse you.

Thanks! I so don't know what I am doing. I watched the webisode on making a digi page and followed kaylaaimee's directions. It was sooo fun!

As someone who has to keep track of, seriously, hundreds of files, I would save as a .psd and a .jpeg in a folder in your My Documents section. You definitely don't want them piling up on your desktop...it can get confusing after awhile and it slows your computer down.

All the ladies are right.
I have a special section on my harddrive for my Digi supplies. Inside it is a folder called Layouts. I save both the psd file (the original photoshop file--so I can always go back and edit it if I need to) and the flattened jpg (that you cannot edit)
Just remember it is always best to resize the layout after saving it as a psd. In pixels you would resize it to 600 x 600 or 500 x 500. This way you can easily share the layout with others in email or other sites that have a file size limit. An actual 12x12 layout on the computer can take up a lot of space and take a while to upload to most places.
Hope that helps and can't wait to see your pages!!
