..I have seen so many magazines with the picture blended into the background layer..how in the world do you do that?? I just learned how to do words in a circle haha..

I am asking because I love to journal and I want to do my own journaling and blend the photo into it, or just blend it into the background paper ... either or

HELP?

Here's how I do it.
Drag your photo on top of a digital paper. Resize to cover the entire paper, if desired.
Go to the layers palette.
There's a little drop down menu.
Change that from NORMAL to overlay.
Then play with the OPACITY to get the look you want.

Good idea Jan, b/c I was just coming back to say this can also be done by using a gradient to fade a portion of your photo out. ;)
