before i even start, i just have to say i have been burning this forum up and i appreciate all the advice everyone has given me since my adventure into digi- here is my problem:

i finally got my copy of pse 6.0 in the mail. i pop it in and it does not work. it says i don't have access to a folder. from what i learned from the tech girl at adobe (she walked me through several things and nothing worked) and on the adobe website- my computer is not recognizing me as its administrator. but i am- and it says i am when you go into user accounts. i have done several things such as going into run mode and getting all users on the computer access and that did not work- try to get my shared folders available-went into safe mode and looked at the users in safe mode- NOTHING IS WORKING!

i am at the point where the only thing i know to do is to save everything and put the factory settings reboot cd in and start over completely with this computer. does anyone else (including mr. gary sullivan & and any husbands who are computer genius') have any other advice??

please help if you can. i don't know what else to do besides reboot my computer to factory settings.

help me please!

thanks- melissa

Hm, I might be tempted to try and load the PSE on some other computer. If it opens and works, then at least you know for certain that your PC has an issue. I guess I would want to verify that before I reboot my computer back to factory settings. I wish I knew how to help you, I hope you get it figured out soon!

Are you running Vista? If so, is the prgram Vista compatible? I would imagine it would be since it's a new release but this is weird.

I know this doesn't help but if it was a Mac I know how to work around this error. For a PC... do you have one log in or two? If there are two... I'd try the other one and see if it'll work.

Thanks for the help. I ended up trying everything that I knew and Adobe helped and nothing. My computer was slow (and I got it over the summer) so I ended up rebooting it from factory settings. I got it installed and have done several LO's just last night. Thanks for the advice.
