I clicked on the little trash can next to the apply command in the shadows (thinking that was going to take off what I just did) and it deleted that shadow!!! I need it back, that was my favorite!! I instantly went to undo... and that wasn't an option!!

Freaking out, please help :)

Did you go back into your Layer Styles to re-apply? Only asking b/c if it was your fave shadow I am going to assume (and we all know how that works out! LOL) it was saved as a Layer Style or a pre-set action so deleting the Layer Style off of a layer in the Layer Palette wouldn't delete your saved Styles.

Let us know.....

Wait...I just re-read your post...are you saying you deleted the shadow from your Layer Styles Palette?

If so, was it a pre-loaded shadow that came with Elements? If so, you can retrieve it from the Elements disk. :)

I can't think of anything that Jayne hasn't said. I sure hope you are able to figure it out.

Don't go re-installing just yet.....put the disk in and see if you can "Browse" the disk files (you might have to right click on the disk to get the Browse option)...if you can look for the Folder that holds the Presets > Styles > and look for Drop Shadows....they should be *.asl file types. If you find it you can copy and paste into your Adobe Elements > Presets > Styles folder and you should be set.

Let us know.....I have to run out to a birthday party but might be abe to check in and see how you are doing.
