do try to make them look like paper i.e. realistic as possible? Or do you like the clean graphic look?

For the most part I like to try and make them look like paper scrapping. Not sure I always manage that but I try. LOL

i try and make them look real but sometimes it doesnt work out like that. So I make extra special efforst to make sure that my shading is just "so" - which helps :)

wow, her pages are awesome! I design them like I would with my paper supplies but I don't know a lot yet about digi, just the basics so they don't look like paper pages......yet! LOL

Wow !!! I love angelbq"s stuff!!! Sometimes I do my digi los to look like paper ones & others I go for a more graphic look! I found a cool way to improve drop shadows.... duplicate your layer , give the bottom one a black Colour Overlay , apply the Gaussian Blur Fliter & reduce the Opacity to about 50% which gives you your shadow...then use the Warp tool to slightly reshape the original layer ( or the shadow if you prefer ) ....sounds like a lot , but it's worth the effort!!

I guess I do try to make mine look "real" ("but," she said in a whiney voice, "they are real - real digi!") :) But there are some techniques that I love (and need to learn to do) that you could never do in paper scrapping. And that's cool, too.
And thanks so much for the heads up on angelbq. Her stuff's awesome - and my fave SISter list continues to grow! :)

I want my pages to look as though they are real and touchable. I can get a little crazy with adding leaves and such, but I still want them to look as though you can reach out and touch them. That is why I work so hard on my shadowing...and adding the sharpening filter to the flattened image also helps TONS with making the layout POP! :)
