I never really planned on doing it, but I'd thought about it for a few seconds at some point and my friend was in town today and wanted to do it and I just got it done too!

Ha! The truth:
I walk into the place debating getting it or not, leaning towards not, so we left to grab a bite to eat...
We get back to the place and I go first so I don't chicken out, I ask the guy a million times if it will hurt, I'm asking him how big the needle is, if it's hollow, if it will bleed, etc. He tells me I need to leave and sit in the waiting room to calm down and he will pierce my friend in the meantime. She came out and it looked great! I had also seen another girl in the room with it done and she said it hurt real bad for 2 seconds and no more pain after that. Back in the room I told the guy I needed two seconds to lay my head back, shut my eyes and focus on something else and not to tell me when he was doing it. The needle hurt like AHHH until it reached the cork. I even said 'ouch ouch ouch' and then no pain AT ALL. He then put the ring in and that hurt enough for one 'ouch'. After I opened my eyes I realized they teared a ton, but there was no pain. I haven't felt any pain since, nothing.

yah, your eyes tear up uncontrollably...just like if you hit your nose or something.
careful with accidentally pulling it out...i've done that 2 times (i've had it pierced 3 times!)
this time, i'm so super careful anytime my hands are around my nose!!

it looks great!! :) piercings usually aren't pleasant but good thing the nose only hurt for a couple seconds..

looks aweesome! i so miss mine, you will love having it! my only piece of advice is take EXTREMELY good care of it, mine kept getting infected, i'd catch it on a blanket or something and it would tear a little.

Looks great.
My fiance's daughter just got hers done too.
She's wanted it for years but finally did it.
(I think the ring she's got in there is a little big but who am I to judge... She's really cute so she looks great with it.)
Yours looks really cute.
One of these days I want to get my ears pierced again.
I only have two in each now but I've always loved the look of lots of earrings...

I have been taking good care of it and I haven't snagged it on anything yet. TMI: I feel like boogers keep getting caught on it...blech
Sasha- BF had a lip ring right in the center of his bottom lip and when he needed to be somewhere and it wasn't appropriate, he put a retainer in. It was just a clear post.

oh okay .. wont that show up on me though .. I might have to think about that .. a girlfriend of mines got paperwork for having one in uniform .. oh wait her tongue ring LOL .. and she was trying to be slick and wear it .. cracy girl LOL ..

Well you could ask the piercer, maybe buy a good cover-up and put it on top of the retainer. It's worth asking if you really want it done.
I didn't have to worry because I'm not working right now because I'm taking a full course load at school and my school is way alternative, nobody will even notice this little thing, lol.

Did you get a nose screw or post? Buy an extra just in case-I've lost 2 of mine down the drain in the shower. I don't even realize it's gone until I look in the mirror!

I would always catch mine on a terrycloth towel when I would dry my face after a shower. Yeowch! I had it for 5 years before it got infected and I had to let it close up. I'd like to have it pierced again tho.
I'd carry a clean, disinfected extra post in your purse/backpack/car in case it comes out while you're not at home. :)

Pulp, mine is a screw but my nostrils are tiny and the way it is 'hooked' on the inside of my nose, I can barely move it if I tried. I know it's TMI, bit it's sort of hooked around cartiledge. I do plan on buying another this week because I want it changed.
Pink, ya I'm going to get another. I have my belly button done so I remember the feeling of getting that caught and all that practice of being careful is working so far with my nose.

i have mine pierced. i love it. i couldnt tell you why, but i do. every now and again i get a tiny flash of sparkle when i go cross eyed looking at my nose. i dont remember pain when i had it done. it did bleed more than i had expected.
oh. and colds are never the same. and niether is drying your face with a fuzzy towel. a little extra caution is needed. fyi.

I miss mine! I loved it! The only thing I didn't love is that the day after I got it I caught a horrible cold. My nose was still so tender from being pierced and that hurt, but I loved it!
