So, hubby & I have our vacation coming up middle of October. We're wanting to go somewhere for a few days (we live in Ohio, btw :))...nothing too far, nothing for the whole week b/c of funds...but see, it's our 2nd wedding anniversary on 10.14 & we didn't really go on a honeymoon & we're paying off debt left & right...and we've never really even been on a vacation together before..and we have really crappy, opposite work schedules (he work weds-sunday, 2nd shift...i'm tues-friday, 1st shift!)...and well, we NEED to get away!
anyyyways, Nashville has been a top contender for months, but it wasn't until today that we really got serious & realized we can go! SO, what is there to do? what are must sees/dos? what are some reasonable, but nice/decent places to stay?!
Oh, and we're thinking 3 nights & 4 days. It's about all the budget will allow (or rather, we'd like to spend! :))
I'd love some info if you could help!
Much appreciated! :)

No, seriously. If you like beer, go to Yazoo brewery and take a tour. Go to the Country Music Hall of Fame, Hatch Show Print, The Loveless Cafe...

frist museum
and if you go on friday or saturday night
layla's
has really great live music
you have to see
tootsie's
but it's always packed at night so go during the early afternoon

Some suggestions:
Blue shoe
provides a good list of popular attractions
Visit Music City website
offers coupons and discounts
Nash Trash tour is very popular
Opryland Resort is great to visit and you'll be nearby the General Jackson boat for a tour
The Chapel at the Upper Room
If you're a country music fan, besides the Hall of Fame, consider visiting
The Ryman Auditorium
or find out who's playing at the
Grand Ole Opry
while you're in town.
For an excellent burger & milkshake experience, you must eat at
Rotiers
which is one of Jimmy Buffet's fave places in the world for a cheeseburger :)
I would stay at most any hotel in Nashville (Davidson County) except in the north & northeast areas of Nashville.
Have fun :)

oh, great, great ideas ladies! thank you so much!
DH & I don't drink, so anything beer related is out, but I'm excited to research the other things! Can't wait to tell him about some stuff!
Anyone know of any good antique shops or flea markets around there?!
Thanks again!
