Around here- it just isn't a Friday night without fried dill pickles. Not a big fan of fried food, but I do like some fried dill pickles.

Living in Texas, they will fry anything that doesn't move. And then dip it in ranch dressing.
I think the strangest thing I've heard of - but not tried - is fried bacon. Cuz yanno it really needed all that extra fat?
Weirdest thing I've tried? Fried frog legs. I was really young, and didn't know better. I remember they tasted like chicken, but no way will I try them again to be sure! The thought weirds me out...

ooh, ooh, I forgot... I used to live in southern oklahoma... weird things happen there. anyway, every year there was a rattlesnake festivle. still is. the local crazies see who could catch the most, the biggest, get into sleeping bags FULL of them...seriously.
anyway, the main offered food? fried rattlesnake of course.
I remember being in the 5th grade and almost passing out when I saw one of my great-aunts chowing down on this big fried lump... turned out to be a deep fried rattlesnake head. I still have nightmares. lol

Um, I don't each much strange food. I'm kinda like a chicken fingers & salad kind of girl...so the weirdest thing...would be fried dough. Bo-ring.
