i'm seeing it tomorrow with my gurls. is it any good?
i'm totally a sucker for singing. although musicals kind of freak me out with the whole random burst into song thing...
i just want to be forewarned. and if it's bad possibly i will see something else ;)

i loved loved loved it !!!!! no one can sing but I just thought it was sing along fabulous and would see it again.... but abba is my generation so I guess I am abbatragic and proud of it... it is so funny though I found my best of abba album and now my 5 y o dd loves the songs..... loves it more than me :)

My fiance took me to see the play on Broadway in NYC.
I totally LOVED IT.......
He is definitely NOT into musicals but since it is all ABBA songs we both liked it cause I guess it brought back memories of listening to that music in our youth (not that we are so old........ )
If the movie is anything like the Broadway play then I am sure you will love it. The previews looked good so I say GO and have a great time.
Warning - You WILL be singing when you leave the theater........

I saw it on Wednesday and it was brilliant. So funny :) Don't expect fab voices, it is all very tongue in cheek and all the more great because of it!

I want to see this too!! Sounds like it is right up my alley. After watching "Muriel's Wedding" for the 15th time I always go around the house singing Abba songs. Can't wait to see this!!!

I saw it years ago when the play first came out in Chicago with it's original cast and it was spectacular. I do wanna see the movie...I know it will be great!

I saw the play and LOVED it! The whole audience was singing and dancing and having a blast. I hope the movie does it justice.

okay, i just got back. everyone, go see it! it was hilarious! i think i made some enemies because i was laughing so loud...and the music was faaaabbb. holy cow. i think i'm in love!!! ;)

Just saw it today, and righto on Colin Firth, could so get lost with him.
Its sweet and refreshing, a bit too loud in places (I'm old), and Meryl Strep is amazing, and can really sing. Christine Baranski is hilarious, Pierce is too sexy, and the sea is gorgeous.
My dd loved ABBA when she was a teen, so loved all the songs.
It is a CHICK flick big time.

OMG, I thought it was so weird that my two daughters and their friends were hooked on Abba and thought it was "new" music, when it was from my generation. And people then thought it was fluff music and scorned it, from what I remember! Now I can't wait to see the movie.

My BFF and I saw this last Saturday in a very quiet crowd so we were cowed into not singing. I so want to see again with some not-so-easily cowed people and sing my heart out. The story is SO cute and the actors are PERFECT in their roles. I have read some less than stellar reviews about Peirce's singing but I loved that it was SO REAL.
The scenery and the sets are so gorgeous and so creatively inspiring.
Sunday I got the soundtrack and I played it on repeat all day (*blush*). I can't wait to see it again. I'm hoping our local drive in gets it, that would be so fun.

Am I sad, or what? The whole time I was at the movie, I kept thinking, "ooh, those fabrics are so pretty; wouldn't they make great patterned papers," and "oh, I want to do a blue and white layout when I get home!"

just got back from seeing it and loved it - I loved the play when I saw it years ago in London and I enjoyed the movie tremendously, it was just a joyful movie. I was smiling most of the time and laughing out loud often.
