Hello everyone.
I just wanted to inform you all that my family's beloved golden boy, Chance, has passed on.
My dad and nephew took him to the vet yesterday evening to have him put to sleep and creamated. His ashes will be spread up on the mountains here by a pet memorial group.
In the end he just wasn't doing well at all. We all gave im permission to go, but he was a fighter and just couldn't fight anymore. He was starting to bleed out of his eye and it was in his drool as well. From what the vet told my mom this afternoon, the cancer had spread up into his head and he had a brain tumor that popped and caused the bleeding and him to urniate on himself and the floor.
The vet also told my mom that he has never seen a dog in such bad shape to fight for so long. Within seconds of the vet giving Chance the seditive & shot to put him to sleep, Chance was gone.
Chance was an excellent dog till the very end. He never attacked, fought or got in too much trouble. He will be missed by my family and those that loved him.
I want to thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement through such difficult times. It was greatly appreciated.

Amanda, sorry for the loss.I know how you are feeling.We had to put both of our cats put down last year. They are like family. The vet we went to made a paw print for my daughter. Chance sounds like a great dog.And was very loved.Sounds like you did all you could.

aww Im so sorry. I know how it feels. My child hood dog had to be put down like that. I felt so sad that he had to go. But happy that he wouldnt bein pain anymore.

oh, i'm so sorry for your loss. he looks like a wonderful dog. he knew how much he was loved so he tried to stay with you as long as he could. my heart goes out to you.

So sorry to hear that Chance looks like he was an awesome dog. I hope you have loads of good happy memories to remember him by.
He lived a long time for golden retriever so he beat the odds it looks like hope you and your family have a safe night.

He was so beautiful!
I'm so sorry for your loss, I went through that a few years back with my sweet cat Tasha that practically raised me, she was 16. I know how hard that is!
