I think it was the only way to stop all the fighting and allow her to get herself sorted so I'm glad.

I feel sorry for her. I think she is definitely making a HUGE mistake.
One day maybe she will wake up and smell the coffee and realize how much she has going for her. - Stuff that other people cant even begin to dream about - And she's just throwing it all away........
I can understand being "Young and Stupid" but doesn't she realize that she aint getting any younger????????
Just hope K-Fed can hire a nice nanny who will keep the kids as happy and out of the spotlight as possible.

I agree....it had to be a hard decision to make, any way you look at it. A decision I would NEVER want to be faced with. So sad.

Remember the days before her meltdown(s) when K-fed was thought to be the biggest loser ever?
Funny how quickly things can unravel and change.
I feel bad for all of them. I just hope those kids can somehow have a "normal" life.

but if she loves her kids enough to know that she's not the best choice...then i view it as commendable. That is true, maybe she got really good visitation rights???
Will have to investigate this further! I pray she did it for all the right reasons and she is taking care of herself!!

what i would view as commendable would be her getting her act together and taking responsibility for those children. but that would mean not putting herself first anymore and taking other people into consideration.
GRR. nothing against your opinion, ash, but this is seriously one of my biggest pet peeves. i can not imagine that i will EVER have compassion for women who have children and then refuse to change the things that make them unfit or unwilling to raise them. if you are that selfish, DON'T HAVE THEM in the first place.

I hope she is using the time to get her life back in order - and then will be trying to do what she can to be a hands on mum again.
That said though, how is it that deadbeat fathers can basically do what she has done and no one bats an eye, but if a woman decides to leave the kids it is some sort of horrifying act??? There are a few male *celebs* I could name who have pretty much done the same thing on walking out on their family in a purely selfish act, yet no-one really raises an eyebrow.
I am NOT condoning it in anyway or for either gender actually - ditching your family/responsibilities and making no attempt to get your act together it is something that completely makes by blood boil.
But it is funny that the social stereotypes create such perceptions - sorta like how guys can sleep around and they are considered more manly, but for girls they get shipped off skanky ho land.
And I agree with you Heather, if you are that selfish, DON'T HAVE THEM in the first place. There are some people who have kids too quickly without thinking about how much of a gigantic life changing thing it is.
Ok putting the soapbox away.....LOL!

dude, lee...i totally agree about the gender thing.
my brother got his gf pregnant when they were 18. they were young and stupid and instead of getting it together, they led a tumultous life that ended in a bitter divorce and him giving up his rights so that the girls new husband could adopt my niece and they could have some semblance of normalcy. he wasn't seeing his little girl anyway, refused to deal with the mother and so he just figured he was doing what was best for his daughter.
i guarantee you that he already regrets the decision even though he felt like had had to make it. it is a different situation but i hold him to the same standards as i would anyone...even though he is a man and even though he is my brother whom i love dearly. he SHOULD HAVE gotten his shit together and taken responsibility for the life he helped create. instead, he spent so much time being selfish that in the end, he lost something precious. i pray every single day that one day he will know her and have her in his life but i don't know that it will ever happen.
sigh.
i guess where i'm going back to is: people should behave responsibly and having children should require SO MUCH more than just two people hopping in the sack. but sadly, that's not how it works. so we are left with a world full of children who are abandoned or hurt by the stupidity and selfishness of the very people who are supposed to protect them.

I 2nd that.. it's such a sad situation, I hope those poor little guys will know that they are loved! From the little bit that I understand about Bi-polar disorder it really may not be safe for them to be around her until she gets better.

I read somewhere she is Bipolar .. so maybe that has ALOT to do with her choices. I think that is the one problem with being a celebrity the MEDIA .. it sucks .. because this happens EVERYDAY...and they make it seem like Britney is the only person with problems that made the best choice for her right now.
I dunno

They are better off with him. This doesnt mean she wont see them, it just means they wont be forced to go spend the night with her on specific court ordered days when mommy is being a psycho. And at least her mother is involved enough to say he, get your crap together and go see your kids. Plus with all those other kids Kfed has, they probably have alot of fun and love on that end!
