When you eat a caramel roll, do you put butter on it before you put it in your mouth?
If not, have you seen other people do this? Is it normal to butter a caramel roll?

I have seen people do this but I find it odd...a caramel roll has enough buttery goodness in the caramel, if you ask me!

I usually don't butter my "sweet" rolls - but i al pretty sure i have seen people do this .
Are you a caramel roll butter-er??

I had never in my life seen someone butter a caramel roll until I was at my in-laws and saw my husband and both his parents butter their caramel rolls. I told him it is weird but he says it might be regional. He brought caramel rolls to work this morning and brought butter for people to use and he said people are using it. I think it's odd to butter something that's already so buttery!

I have seen people put more of the frosting-y stuff from cinnabon on their caramel rolls...and when I say I have seen people...I mean I do that.

I butter my cinnamon rolls. Real butter too, none of that margarine crap!

When we would go to Cinnamonster at the mall, they would put at least a tablespoon of butter on a hot bun unless you asked for them not to.

I have never heard of this.
I make my own sweet rolls generic style...with a can of refridgerated biscuit dough, squash them, slather with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and roll and cut and bake.
i havent heard of putting butter on them and then eating it. to me adding the butter would take away from the sweet richness...because a big hunk of butter would seriously kill the taste for me. lol
