staramaze Model SISter (2825)	# Posted: 5 Jul 2008 00:35 We had a beautiful night... 72 degrees... the kids were all excited... the fireworks began, and then... 5 minutes later... they stopped. Apparently there was a fire (nobody was hurt)... but tell that to the kids. What a BUMMER! How were your fireworks?

hilly0013 Favorite SISter (6357)	# Posted: 5 Jul 2008 01:14 there is always a fire here on fourth of july. they light them off of this hill and the hill always starts on fire. It just rained a lot her on Wednesday and they hosed the hill down for 1 1/2 hours today, but it still started on fire. the fireworks here rocked....they had these ones that when they came donwn on the water, they just sat there and then slowly went out one color at a time. i hadn't ever seen anything like that. it was so cool....
ScrappyAmy Model SISter (2659)	# Posted: 5 Jul 2008 07:59 I saw a great show too, In the smaller town I just moved too I was surprised how good they were. There were even these ones that had a parachute on them so they trailed down, it was weird but cool. In Des Moines there were always about 9 different places having them but Im glad we stayed up here to see these ones.
PetiteCheri Favorite SISter (7810)	# Posted: 5 Jul 2008 13:02 Wow, that is a bummer! We faired slightly better. We couldn't get a good spot to watch because we were late getting started. We did fireworks in our driveway before we left and the package we bought was lame!
