I frankly loved Pillars better..
I think w.w.e (haha that looks funny) seemed longer, cause it happens way after Pillars, and of course.. I had read pillars so long ago, that I should have re-read it before w.w.e to "set the mood"

finished midwives by chris boh-osomething. it was SSOOO good! kept me going! just enough suspense (not scary but regular suspense) to keep me interested and wanting more. very very good book!

so i'm up to 7 now! woohoo!

and i just want to say thanks for this thread for being that little push i needed to start reading again. and wonderful book recommendations! when i see a review on here i go look it up on goodreads and read the summary and almost every time i've added it to my to-read list.

AND...i got a library card! i had one before, but i had amassed huge fines and at the time couldn't pay it. so i went in the other day to pay it off and i got a new card. somehow, it never went to collections, or i'd never have been able to get a new card!

see if you can guess how much my fine was! and the last time i used it to check out books was in 2000!!!

I am so behind on my reading, I long for a good read!! I started in a recent Fay Weldon, love the bittersweet irony in her books. :)

So excited about the bookmarks! :))

I am not one, but I know there are plenty around:)

I need a little pep talk. I just started night by Elie Wiesel. I've had it on my list for a long time and I just want to read it, but I'm only at the forward and I'm already crying.

Is it going to ruin me? I'm trying to decide if I should put it away until after my hormones have leveled off. I really want to read it though.

Who has read it?

Sonja,
I would read it later. It will BREAK YOUR HEART! it is an excellent memoir but with your hormones it may be too much. The suffering and despair are hard to take when you're not hormonal!! I finished "The Cage" a few weeks ago and it too is a memoir from a survivor of the Holocaust and I bawled like a baby. Just my opinion dear girl! :)

They say she is writing another story, will never be so good... but I'm curious what it will be...

I also like the movies! So I'm still happy that I can look forward to the movies!

Oh and that last book... I've red it twice, so I was sure I didn't miss anything... found it very good!

hmm...i heard that jk rowling was going to write a 'follow-up' to harry potter, to show where all the characters were now that they are adults.
i really hope she does, that would be amazing.

Wow, that would be sooo cool! That maybe his son will go through loads of adventures... Will there be another 'Voldermort' (I'm not sure if this is the same name in English)...?

from what i understood, it wouldn't be a continuation for harry's son, more like what the original characters are up to.
i had heard that any character from the 7 books, even if they were just mentioned once, had a whole story going on (in her head) and she would explain where they were now that they were adults.

i finished devil in the details.
it definatly wasn't what i thought it would be.
a lot more about religion that i had thought.

i also finished an absolute gentleman.
very good, but i don't feel like the author explained why arthur blume chose to kill nada. maybe there were underlying reasons that i didn't pick up, but i just don't know why.

That sounds also great!
Heard there was sold a little pre story for charity at an auction. About Harry's parents...

She's got the whole family in her head... cool! :D
