basically, we chat books. we have all set targets on how many we would like to read this year, which we are attempting to work towards (ahem, take note of my number) and we all encourage each other in it!

get yourself on goodreads cara. its good.

just want to know because i'm nosy. ;)

i know :P

awesome book!^^^^^

I'm not exactly in the "club" but I'm halfway through World Without End (by Ken Follett). Anyone who read "Pillars of the Earth" this is a sequel (so to speak, no need to have read the 1st one) and is just as amazing!

just my 2cents!

I think that would be books on tape - technically its not "reading" the book though its listening - speaking of which I need to see what books are on itunes now

34/50

Love Walked In

I absolutely loved this book! I'm a little scared to read the next one because I have really high expectations and don't want to be disappointed. Has anyone read it yet?

Down to the Bone by Mayra Lazara Dole

this is YA written for gay/lesbian/transgender . Not a bad book but I like Alex Sanchez's series "Rainbow High." Maybe I just need to be better schooled in the Cuban culture. This book addresses a girl trying to deny that she is a lesbian because her mother kicked her out and disowned her due to her sexuality. I do feel that this is a great addition to the genre because there does seem to be a lack of teen lesbian fiction out there.

Off to my next book :)

What a great idea. I haven't read in sometime... This would be a great way to get me motivated.
So, is there something I need to do 'officially'? or can i just post when I see your thread with the book I'm reading?

in the meanwhile, jump in a chat away! these girls love to chat ;)

hey 2 is 2! yay, mizzm!
the one I'm reading right now is 1000 pages (which could count for a bunch of smaller books), so it's not quantity that counts so much as just keep reading, IMHO.
right?

I would like to join this group if I could.
I used to read ALL the time, but I have "fallen off the wagon as of late!"
I am in the middle of a NOra Roberts book and I have 6 more of her books waiting to be read!
My goal will be 20 seeing as how we are 6 months through the year already!
Thanks
Kristin

stacijo - the sequel to Love Walked In is just as good, but different enough that you don't feel bored. it's a maturing of all the characters :)

enjoy!!

I read.. I am a reader ( i am obviously looking for an apple, a cookie, or a big shiny gold star)..

I read obsessively.. though lately I have been sucked into the world of financial literature ? does that count ?

RHI-pants.

Okay.

Can I make a month goal? Because I suck with long term goals.

I want to read 7 books this month.

And. I really feel like chatting it up with somebody. Because, y'know. What do I do? I avoid homework.

I have a three page research paper to write on Darfur.

SIS is here for me.

To avoid.
