It's the final 3...
First round was judge's choice:
David A. - Paula picked a Billy Joel song
Syesha - Randy picked an Alicia Keys song
David C. - Simon picked a Roberta Flack song
David A. & Syesha were good, but David C. was GREAT!
Second round is contestant's choice:
David A. - No idea what song he sang, it was mid-tempo though
Syesha - Fever
David C. - Switchfoot song, Dare You To Move
All 3 were okay, no one was outstanding
Third round is Producer's choice:
David A. - Dan Folgerburg, Longer
...and that's where we are now.

I'm so frustrated because the Judges have been criticizing the contestants in the 3rd round about the song they sang which the PRODUCERS SELECTED! Like, the contestants have no choice but to sing what the producers picked, so it's pointless to criticize them for that!

I wouldn't say that anyone sucked. Just that there were only two terrific performances and IMO, those two were from David C. - he just hit certain notes tonight and had a sound & presence that was VERY entertaining compared to DA & Syesha!
David A. did quite well in his 3 songs, but no amazing arrangements or any WOW factor to his performances, IMO.
Syesha was solid in her 3 songs, but again, no "blow your mind" performance.

I don't typically vote, but seeing as how that goofball Jason lasted so long in the competition, I didn't want to assume that DC has enough votes to get into the final two.
I finally got through twice, so that's 2 votes for DC :)

I second that! I don't understand them giving them a back critique for that song. I love David Cook, I hope he wins!

tracy, i'm so glad you posted this. After he sang The First Time....i wanted to get online and praise him. that was truly a beautiful version of the song. i'm so glad i'm not the only one.

I recall learning about the term "Cougar" last year during that one reality show where younger women competed against older women for a 30 year old dude AND in a commercial where one girl cautioned another girl about her man talking to a Cougar (who turned out to be the boyfriend's mother -I think it might have been a cosmetics ad ??).
Since then it seems like I've heard over & over
