just wanted to share that i finally figured out my word for this year - choose.
as in: choose joy/gratitude/other positive mind sets.
wanna share yours or point me to a thread if there is one?

Good question, last year mine was "Persevere" or "Perseverance", and I think it's going to be this year too. :)

I am doing the word Courage for an emotions ATC. I think it will also be my word for the year. I have a lot of issues I need to look at and it will take courage to do anything about them.
I also will use the word Grow to describe my goals for the year as I really want to Grow in my relationship with God. Spend more time each day reading his word and being inspired by it all!

I was trying to decide between TIME and BALANCE...but how says I can only have one word?!
Time to get most things done in a day. The balance between, kids, work, house, me etc etc. The time it takes to devote to each of those things (kids, work etc). Taking time to do the things I love. Making quality time with my kids.

My word for the year is grow.
WE need to "grow" as a blended family.
Plus, while I am not trying to actually GROW, I am hoping to shrink actually.
We are hoping for a lot of growth in our lives.

I'm gonna go with SIMPLIFY.....for now.
But, as the commercial says, "Life comes at you fast." One thing I have recently learned first hand is life can change IN HUGE WAYS very suddenly.
So.....my word for now is SIMPLIFY. It may change as the year progresses.

Im persevering too!
I have so many things I need to continue battling for - my sons right to an education being the main one - I am going to carry on as I did last year and hopefully my word will inspire me not to give up the fight!

DIRECT.....
when getting into over the holidays with my sister - she mentioned something to me that really struck a cord. I thought she was rude - but she described as being DIRECT and to the point. Yes you can still be direct and rude - but you can be direct and nice. I have challenged my self to do the latter. I have to constantly challenge myself when it comes to communicating correctly - so this is a good challenge!!!
