Ok SISters. I know a lot of you are getting back on the exercise wagon right now and I was just wondering what up-beat tunes are keeping you on pace. I'm training for the 1/2 marathon so I need some good songs to help motivate me on my long runs!!

there are others that I can't think of right now, but I will let you know if I remember any good ones. :)

Love the BEPs for work outs. I have both of the CDs of theirs on my "running mix."

That's a great list Pooks!
When I was running (seems like eons ago) I listened to a lot of ACDC. I could just zone out to it, and the beat seemed just right. The other day I was listening to Back In Black while scrapping and all of a sudden I wanted to go for a jog! Music is a such an influence...

Another GREAT one for a *feel good* run is Golden - Jill Scott. People totally stare at me when that comes on b/c I dance and lip sing on the treadmill to it! LOL!
Martha - thanks I will check them out.

I haven't done any running in forever, but I always like a little fatboy slim and (please don't judge) Beyonce or Destiny's child. I swear to you "Bootylicious" makes me glad that I'm a whole lot of woman (okay, you might be able to freely judge)

lol! #5 cracked me up after reading the title of #4...makes me think of that Sesame St. song, "one of these things does not belong here":)
I listen to a lot of Rage Against the Machine when I run. I also like to listen to the White Stripes, Sound Garden, JayZ, Ice Cube, and DMX. I can't think of what else is on there though...no dance music. I'm afraid I'll fall as I'm trying to move my booty to the beat!

Oh, and MrsVo...yeah, I think I know the song...the one with the beat right? LOL
Sonja!!! Fat Boy Slim...I have been trying to remember that since the very begining of this thread because all I can remember is the video, and how the song goes...you know the one I am thinking of right? (I just pulled a MrsVo!) :)
