Ya know what, I just realized after you asked that question.....that is a couples resort. Probably not the place for a girlfriend vacation. I have also been to Bahamas and Mexico. LOVED Puerto Vallrta. Beautiful scenery, awesome beaches, people were completely nice. I also hear the Atlantis in the Bahamas is beyond spectacular.

Hubby and I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic a few years ago. It was beautiful and the food was delicious. They had a cool swim up bar, and the pool snaked all around the hotel... very cool. The only complaint we had was there wasn't too much to do as far as water activities go-- we had to take a ride about an hour (maybe not, but felt like it) to go snorkeling. We rode with a group of friends (about 10) who said they travel there once a year as a group. We thought it would be really fun to come back with friends like they did. Maybe we are just boring on our own, LOL
FWIW :-)

we have a condo down there- pueblo bonita at sunset beach (i think it's called) it is a like a little village in itself- restaurants, shopping stores, everything. one downfall to it, is that the resort is on the very tip of the pennisula, so you can't swim on the beaches there- because of the undertoe. but, it has like 4 different pools that are all amazing. however, the resort is very close to mansions owned by madonna, tom cruise, and bill gates!!!

My bff and I went to Club Med Cancun a few years ago and man-o-man we had a blast! The rooms are very basic and the food at an all inclusive resort isn't that great, but we spent most of our time on the beach and well the food... was edible! I've been to a Sandals resort in Jamaica and Club Med in Hualtoco(?) but CM Cancun was by far the most fun. Have you considered a cruise? I'm sure you girls will have a blast together wherever you go!

the dominican republic is amazing! i've been there twice for all-inclusive and it's really just amazing. the first time i went to punta cana and the second time i went to puerto plata. the people that work there treat you SO well!!!!
a lot of the all-inclusive places are the same so my suggestion is to go for price....
i book on http://www.cheapcaribbean.com/ --- really great service through there - they picked up at the airport and we had a great time there -- all inclusive with flight included for under $1000 a person.
i definitely recommend an all-inclusive over a cruise, especially if you're planning on drinking. cruises get SO expensive for the drinks!

Oh yeah forgot about the drinks... so yeah paying for them on a cruise could get expensive. In Club Med the wine and some beer is inclusive, otherwise you buy beads to order mixed drinks and beer worth drinking. In the Sandals resort all drinks were inclusive and they were strong.
