I added my Favorite Mug to both my 365 Portfolio & The Overlooked - Subject One Flickr group, and thought about sharing the recipe for my Homemade Starbucks Cafe Mocha here.

Its easy AND cheap!

Pre-Prep:
I brew my Starbucks espresso blend before hand and pour it into a squeeze bottle to store in the fridge, so I dont have to brew each time I make a cup. I also pre-mix my mock Mocha Mix (instructions below), and put that into a squeeze bottle in the fridge for future use.

For Each Mocha I add:
2 shots (ounces) of Espresso
2 tbsp. Pre-Mixed Mocha Syrup
Half a frother of 2% Milk
Top with Sugar Free Whip Cream

Since Starbucks only sells its mocha powder during the holidays, I had to get creative...

Mock Mocha Powder:
1/4 cup measure of DUTCH Cocoa and 1/3 cup measure of powdered icing sugar. Sift and mix together. To create syrup, add one tbsp. of powder mix to one tbsp. of water. (if adding to a squeeze bottle) OR just add one tbsp. of powder mix to each cup and mix into frothed milk.

Try it... you'll LOVE it! Its so much cheaper too!

P.S: I also add 2 or 3 splenda packets to mine, 'cuz I like it SAWEEEET!

Seriously Nikki!!?

I have been calling both of our stores almost daily.. BOTH keep telling me its a holiday item (different people answering). Finally I just gave up after going through withdrawls. I tried searching for it online too, but the only place I could find it was ebay for 9.99 plus shipping. Screw that! I was paying $4-ish for a canister over Christmas.

I guess I'll just have to keep calling back. Thanks for the info chica!
