Ok girls,

I'm going tonight to have a "real" haircut, and I need some advice.

I have medium length, thick, wavy hair! How do I want it cut??

I'm not picky on hair at all, just want a style. I know I have to have it thinned out, but anyone have suggestions??? I don't have bangs right now, but I'm thinkin' I might get some!!

Help!!

ohhh! I don't have wavy hair, but I usually have a problem finding a style I liked. I got lucky here recently. Every time I like someones hair, I would ask who cut it and it ended up being the same person everytime! So I called the lady and have been going to her for 3 months now and LOVE her! SO may the "force (for hair)" be with you!

I have thick medium lenght hair with wavy. I LOVED my hair in a graduated bob. Shorter in the back and longer in the front. Easy easy to take care of! My avatar picture is when it grew out some but even at that length I really liked it.

I love that look, its just too darn cute!! My only concern is, I would have to straighten it and I tend to have frizzy hair. Do you still think that would work? Another question are you able to put it up if you want??

Thanks ladies!!

I straighten it and wear it wavy. I get a little frizzy too but a little bit of product takes care of that. I just spray a little on and I am good to go. I cannot put my hair up but I don't need too because it is short. SO I only put the top layers in a pony tail and the rest hangs down. Does that make sense? It is seriously easy to style and I felt so sassy when I had it. I have sense grown it out a bit and cut bangs. I wanted something different. I think I am going to go back to that cut though because it was so much easier!

I have very thick, medium length hair - no waves though. I would say long layers are the way to go...and of course every picture I ever find that I want is someone with wavy hair...

I recently got bangs for the first time in years and years...if you think you want them I would suggest longer ones that go to the side...it's a good way to ease into them.

StraitFan, your second post took the words right out of my mouth! I have medium long, permed very thick hair and it's driving me nuts! Normally, my hair is exactly as you describe yours. Super thick, wavy (maybe more kink-ish, just in spots), coarse and frizzy. If anyone finds the perfect hairdo for this, please tell me, cause I need it!

I just got a new do and i had long hair got it in a layered shag and my hair is usually straight but use the liquid spray gel on it let it dry a bit and blow dry it has a scrunched perm look I love it alos she cut my hair with a razor so it lays softer around my face I love this easy to fix just wash spray and bit o blow dry and go can be put in a ponytail also

That is my hair! I hate it! I have it fairly long right now, but the whack job that cut it last MESSED it up. Here's the story:

I went to my usual place. Where's Ola, I asked. She moved to Texas. DAMNIT! It's hard with this kind of hair to find a person and stick with them.

So the chick offers to cut my hair. I oblige because it needs cut BAD! I ask her to please "thin in out" which I have done EVERYTIME I get my haircut.....she takes the toothy scissors and just starts hacking away at the top layer of my hair.

So now, I have hair almost to the middle of my back and the top layer is at my freaking chin!

I haven't been back or anywhere else for that matter since I am trying to get the top grown back out! I can't do anything with it UNLESS I get up at 4am and become one with my straightener. Please do share with us some pics when you get back!

I have super thick....curly wavy or whatever hair...just whacked mine off aobut 7 inches and man I am in love with the length....in the morning I just wash and go....and that is it...but also have the versatility of straightening it....

if I were you I dont know if I would get it thinned out...I did that and it really made it look different when I pulled it back...stray hairs all over the place and such...kwim?? But it might work for you too....just thought I would mention it!

This is my world too, tia..... UGH! takes just as much time to make it straight as it does to make it curly!

CUTE BOB HAIR CUT, WITH GRADUAL LAYERS angled down in the front. The longer version of course. Nothing too short. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! I had my layers evened out and now they even blend, a few shorter bangs to push off to the side. Yet, I'm still able to put it up, YAY!!! I didn't do a thing to it this morning, so tomorrow or tonight, I'll take a photo and post it!

The only thing I hate is when you have to try and figure out how to do it again!! Although all she did was a little product, a little blow dry and and not much else. It was so cute last night, now can I do it myself???

Thanks again girls!!

I have that graduated bob also. (My stylist calls it the "Pob" after Posh Spice.) I love it. I have naturally curly hair so I straighten it. I have a Revlon straightener that I love and I use a aveda product called "Hang Straight" that I use before straightening. Go for it!

I just changed my avatar with my new do.

No mind you, I did absolutely nothing to it this morning but put some matrix sleek look on it while it was wet. I just let it air dry. So not too bad!

I'm excited to "do something" to it just to see how it turns out! But, since I do daycare in my home, no use in getting up and doing your hair!!
